Hi Steam Support,

I’ve noticed something very strange and frustrating on the Community Market for this item:

Every single time I place a buy order, within less than a minute, another buy order appears exactly $0.05 higher than mine. It doesn’t matter what price I choose – it always happens.

From my perspective as a player, this is not normal human behavior. It looks exactly like an automated script or bot that:
• Constantly scans the market
• Immediately outbids others by exactly $0.05
• Repeats this 24/7 for weeks

The problem is, as a normal user, I can’t see the profile of the person placing these orders because the Community Market hides that information (Steam’s privacy policy doesn’t allow us to see buyer/seller identities). So I can’t “Report Player” the way the help pages suggest.

That means only Steam can investigate this by checking market logs for this item and seeing which account is doing the instant $0.05 outbids. If it’s a bot, it’s breaking the Steam Subscriber Agreement rule against using automation software on the Community Market.

Please pass this to the team that handles Market abuse. This kind of behavior makes the Market feel unfair for normal players trying to buy items.

Just seen a legend post this tip, turn off wifi/unplug ethernet cord as the game starts up (Before the Secure boot check) and it will bypass it.. I salute that man, cannot find his post anymore but if you see it.. praise him.

How is it any different then survivors being flash lights? Slugging, while boring, is still progressing the game state, there by working towards there objective.

Flashlights run out way faster than a survivor bleeds out, you could recharge a flashlight with BTL or Mikaela's rummage perk but that still requires finding and using a chest where slugging is just whacking someone twice and then repeating. Survivors have to bring flashlights (and you can avoid them or bait them into being wasted) but you can always M1 a survivor.

I have no idea how anyone can defend this, TR is a complete disappointment. We all expected Tiberium Wars and Kane's Wrath, and all we got was a Tec demo.
A maximum of 4 players on a map in 2025 is simply too few and inexcusable.

They said it was gonna be like classic 90s RTS which is why I'm not surprised with the minimal multiplayer content.

So excited to see the new pets!

do you happen to know where the elechead statue is and what hint people are referring to with it? Also i think the jank jump IS intended lol. I went back to the demo and climbed the hole using infinite jump and found a strawberry statue, and i don't think there's any other way to get that high up. Although i still can't figure out how to jump to the next screen from flat ground. which i assume is where the elechead statue is in the demo, above the chains/timer room.

edit: well, i got up 27,25 by stepping off the second bomb and detonating it then walking back onto the second bomb before it went above me, so it got the full height but i was still on it. I don't know if this is the intended 'double jump' or if there's an easier way to do it. But i've tried doing this same thing again and it feels frame perfect and is way harder than initiating the infinite bomb jump from a ledge.

Intended way for that one is to put yourself and a bomb side by side on top of another bomb, placed in a way where the bomb next to you is under an overhang but you aren't. Then explode the bottom bomb which flings you and the bomb up, but the bomb next to you doesnt go so high cuz it hits the overhang so you can move on top of it. It's pretty easy to do

I knew it was gonna be painfully obvious in hindsight and involve the overhang lol. Wish i'd found that solution since it sounds way more satisfying than walking around on a 2stack spamming left/right

Are you running Hi-res textures? And what do you have for a SSD?
Edit: NVM, about the SSD, you posted at the same time it did it seems

yes high textures, tried with everything

the direct storage runs though the cpu, so the high res texture pack will not load fast enough in an overwhelming majority of the time. My suggestion is to just uninstall that pack by unchecking it in the dlc menu, until it gets fixed.
