I saw this thread while watching the beginning of the first episode and was like wtf is he talking about, it looks great. But after having seen both episodes, there's a big issue with the show. This bro and sister relation is cheesy and brings nothing to a show called Alien. Then, i hate the fact that all the kid synths are a bunch of zoomers with childish behiors. This is incredibly stupid, and is ruining the show for me.

I think the biggest problem is that it's trying to emulate Ridley Scott's style, but failing miserably.

It feels like every scene is dragged-out to a ridiculous degree. The pacing is way too slow. Character development is almost non-existent.

All I want is humans vs aliens. All I'm getting is massive lore dumps.

Also I feel I should use non-lethal guns for SOME quests where you are facing corpo security guards (who are just doing their job and often say "give yourself up, you're not in any trouble")... but then I can't be bothered to switch weapons so end up shooting them anyway!
I always do non-lethal sneak takedowns from behind if they are not criminals though.

It's odd that you claim you want realism but your suggestions is more arcade style.

The suppression system in the game is fine. It might not be perfect but it's simple.

where's the arcade style in this? when soldiers actually camp or flank because of the fear of death, that's why it took thousand or even ten thousand bullets to kill a soldier IRL, they just shoot at a general direction. Just like even today, you will not win by killing the enemy, you'll win when you make them unable to fight. the more bullet you put out is what determine who'll win the fight. My suggestion makes squad sticks together even more. combined arms doctrines where tanks and infantry work together unlike the current game where tanks especially shermans, are not even doing what it's supposed to do by design.

listen man this game is dying. There will be no MG system innovation, there will be no weapon reload animation fixes. There are numerous other issues that need to be solved first anyways. Your recommendation goes nowhere as soon as you send it out onto the internet, like tears in the rain. It is over.
