Apparently it's because it's running the old engine under UE5, which uses the framerate for game logic timings.

Yes, they did lie though not necessarily intentionally but they could have handled it better.

It appears they have totally scrapped plans to continue Black Myth Wukong's story in any form, be it DLC or a new game.

They are working on a new game Black Myth: Zhong Kui which, despite the similarly related name, has nothing at all to do with Black Myth Wukong / Journey to the West themes. It is, apparently, a completely original work starting from a clean slate.

They somewhat phrased it that they started on the DLC but then kind of put it off to the side, for now, or so they're loosely suggesting but having done this change months later this seems highly dubious how far they got on it if they're just dropping it at this point. In short, odds are they did not get far if they're making these steps and it will probably never manifest, even after the new project.

It also does not appear promising that Black Myth Wukong will see a sequel, contrary to their FAQ lightly suggesting it one day being a possibility. Odds seem... not good based on the summation of everything they said.

No need to change the default (although it shouldn't stop it from working either). Simply click "Import Map" and browse the the "module.json" file in the folder that was extracted from the download.

I just redownloaded it to make sure nothing has changed since the last time I did. Everything seems to be working fine.

Fun game, but there really needs to be a quicker way to identify which weapons/abilities pair with each other to get the bonus.
