They aren't targeting games at random, they're calling out specific harmful patterns. Collective Shout only speak up when content crosses the line into being genuinely creepy or exploitative. Pretending it’s like some kind of attack against all games is just literal paranoia and seriously so pathetic.

I mean, they've tried to have games like GTA taken down in their home country. Taken down from store shelves specifically.

Also, I don't mind that they went after really degenerate games. But this could generate a chilling effect where all media will ban discussion and depiction of that content and no context surrounding it will be permissible just to be on the safe side when appeasing payment processors. We'll eventually just remove all rape and mentions of rape from media, which protects abusers when the abused can't have no information on what is even happened to them and what it was. So all of this sets a bad precedent to me.

Like will the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo eventually be banned? It has a scene depicting sexual assault, rape I'd dare call it. It's not a pro-rape movie by any stretch. Because Collective Shout's mandate/goals would demand it's removal eventually. And payment processor's guidelines would encourage it's removal at the very least. Or that the media would be censored to stay up.

Pretty sure everyone is now jealous and want to drink beer infront of cops.

The melee rework sound like a buff for balance weapons and a nerf for parry and block weapons...

Actually the river now has a "Ford" crossing by the trader, with gravel road guiding you there that takes you just north of the Fates Motel.

2.0 Navezgane is better since Rekt is now near Diersville and not in the middle of nowhere pine forest. Transitioning from Rekt to Jenn is not as bad either. I found I was breezing through biome progression at least until the wasteland. Still, 500m travel to POIs is better than 1.2Kms away like the previous Navezgane maps. Still grinding tier 1 jobs to reach the bike was a must.

Disappointing they haven't updated the Deadman's Gulch mine or ruins. However it is neat to see new small pois found around the map, especially in the mountains. Also no regular crack-a-book to be found. Just the small one, the HQ, and the cafe, really limits the progression.

watching your video and listening to you discuss what's important kinda says a lot to me about why modern games don't attract me anymore. I've never wanted "bloodier" or more gore. I crave a mature story line that actually makes sense and is relatable to the troubling world we all live in. These constant diversions into fantasy are all feeling the same. Mysterious language, knights and swords, magicians, dragons....it's such a tired and overused theme. Why so dark all the time?? Why is there no use of the modern world and how it operates?? Where is the wisdom and understanding in the true wonders of our reality?? Our history alone is more interesting than any modern gaming story. When you play a Hideo Kojima game you feel the message and the wisdom in his human experience. Too many game dev's have too many people contributing to a game that ends up feeling like nothing. Get one person to write and design the game and you immediately feel a connection to it...that's what I miss in so many games. The observation and understanding of the human condition...
