eh? Is you squad hugely encumbered (carrying far more weight than their strength skill can handle) -- such as from carrying weapons that are too heavy and/or too heavy armor, too much inventory, etc? Over encumbrance slows your attack animations down, and the bonedogs are fast and will be the only ones getting any attacks in if your squad is all over-encumbered.

You need your fighters light (relative their strength stat).

So, I wasted 4000 cats, and now I have to spend at least one day healing. Day 26, and basic fauna is still scoring a flawless victory against my "army"

I agree that spending money on mercenaries is a waste -- if anyone is going to get wiped, its gonna be my squads because I want them to do their own fighting and increase their own skills (not increasing the skill stats of the hired mercs).

Also: do you have mod that is making the bonedogs overpowered?
Think you'll want to spend some time doing "strength training", which is intentionally over-encumbering your squad (carry bodies, etc) and run around from town to town -- but you don't want to be too encumbered during combat that you want to win.

No, I don't have mods. I did win the fight on my third try (see my edit above), but it was very close. 8 people went down. My squad was between 10-26% Encumbered. Is that too much? My rookie was overly heavy since I tried to shield them with armor.

How much strength do i need to avoid getting encumbered by gear?

I mean, it is a good shooter. It has good ideas. However it doesn't quite feel like a proper Battlefield. Maps we were given for the beta feels cramped, something is off about the gun play too.

I might get it when it gets a heavy discount, but the asking price currently is just too much.

If you mean that trams get stuck in groups at terminal stops, I've learned that after each update, you need to re-enter the settings for each line and regenerate the timetable for them. Sometimes you have to tweak the minimum stop times a little to get a good result.

It seems to me that if you don't do this, the trams try to run according to outdated parameters, which causes them to get stuck. Because in each update, the authors make corrections to the travel times between stops.
