I am far into the game and suddenly build options like engineers and armored bulk haulers are red and cannot be built. When I try and build them it says I cannot do so because "I am at war with the league.". The league was destroyed ages ago and I have no idea why this is happening or how to make it go away. Advice?

poe2 sucks and i say that as a huge poe1 fan. poe2 has less depth in character building than even diablo4 has. its a ♥♥♥♥ arpg. its not just lacking content (which last epoch clearly is) but its completely without depth. the passive skill tree sucks. the uniques suck. there are no real options in anything you do when you make a character. the choices are like "do you want +1 damage or +10 damage?" everything is spelled out for you.

its a deeply uninteresting system. poe2 need serious core changes to be interesting, poe1 is 100000% better as a game. i dont think poe2 has any real hope for people who like buildcrafting (non-buildguide followers) because the direction of the game is to be an inch deep and a mile wide.

LE at least has some depth to it, with more planned in the future.

Confirmed with testing. You still get quest reward even if enemy surrenders. So accepting surrender is always best, unless you're really wanting to salvage the materials, but even then the surrender price is usually good so surrender might still be better in most cases than salvaging.

Pretty much gave up on the mouse for that. It's much less frustrating to scroll and zoom with the keyboard. Great old game, but primitive. frankly surprised it works at all. But at less than 3 bucks, it's a lot of fun.

Also some cards indicate what they are referring to, but if a poet copies their ability she does not get indication

People keep saying WotL is the "definitive version", but I will follow that up to ask:
"Which version of WotL?"

You present a false dichotomy, the answer is both and the IOS version should have been ported to Steam Deck and Switch with controller support.

WOTL is an enhanced remaster that improves basically everything about the original, except for a few sound effects that got bugged by changes to file types and compression methods.

I thought Simon said SCP themes relied on FMOD and couldn't be implemented until it was also implemented

I don't know if it's because I'm 42 now and just slow compared to a lot of the players or what but I'm God freaking terrible at this game now. I even went back to try Battlefield 2, 3, and 4 again and yes, still terrible.

I really wasn't this bad in the past lol. I played the hell out of Battlefield 2 when I was younger. While I was never constantly at the top of the leaderboards I was never constantly at the bottom either.

What has happened to me? So depressing...

Any tips or suggestions? I just can't seem to do well at all anymore. It's weird because I can still hang if I play old arena shooters which are clearly more twitch/speed based. I think a big problem with this game for me and say the latest Call of Duty is just the fact it's so chaotic and I can't even see my enemies half the time. When I do see them I usually hesistate because I can't tell right off the bat if they're friendlies or not.

Again, any tips or suggestions for this old man (in gaming terms lol) loser would be highly appreciated. I kind of want to purchase the game but honestly, 70 bucks just to get curb stomped constantly ain't exactly feeling like a smart play.

i think its a time thing.

a lot of modern "gamers" wake up and game > eat while gaming > game while watching other people game ("streamers") > think about the fact they're not gaming while dropping a deuce > and back to > sleep.

unless you're willing to no-life games and build up a muscle memory for every single map, you'll never compete with these players. others just cheat and justify it as "its the only way i can beat them".

tips:
-i just defend ("camp") points more as i get older (im 37)
-try countering the trend, e.g. everyone is sniping, use smoke and rockets.
-when outnumbered on an objective, hide just off the point while letting the enemy capture it and move on, then, kill the stragglers.
-loads of your team dying in front of you? corner hug, avoid, hide and shotgun them in the back.

not particularly good tips, but it works for me
