Mate what did I do to give you the impression I'm interested in debating your one-eyed napkin math?

One person stated (stated) that Starfield "didn't move the needle on game pass subscriptions".
Microsoft themselves state it did move the needle.
Story. End.

Now you want to get into the weeds on other ♥♥♥♥ I have zero interest in talking about: cost of game production. I'm not a Microsoft shareholder, I'm not a MS exec, I'm a consumer. TBF IDGAF how much money a game cost to make, it's entirely irrelevant to my opinion on a game. Companies with vast sums of money spend vast sums of money making things that will never seem to be worth it to the consumer. Have you looked at the list of most expensive movies? This isn't a game-centric issue.

If you want to tie yourself up in knots making an argument that the game wasn't worth the investment, you do you but I'm not your audience .
Are you pitching for a job at Microsoft to steer them right? Maybe they'll see your comment and listen.

You say you’re not interested in discussing sales, refunds, or ROI—yet you dropped a Microsoft earnings report to claim Starfield “moved the needle.”
So which is it? Are we looking at corporate performance, or just personal vibes?
You used a Game Pass stat to deflect from actual game quality, player retention, and Steam reviews, then acted offended when someone followed the logic to its conclusion.
That’s not debate. That’s bait-and-switch.
• 6 million players (not sales) = mostly trial users.
• Drop-off within weeks = low retention.
• Steam numbers tanked. Reviews hovered at 40–50% for half a year.
• DLC released = barely moved the needle.
You don’t get to wave “Microsoft said it performed well!” as your mic drop—then immediately say “I’m just a consumer, I don’t care about money” when someone questions whether it actually performed.
If Microsoft throwing money at a Game Pass promo counts as success to you, fine. But don’t pretend it settles the debate.
Because if Starfield “moved the needle,” it’s only because it triggered a massive reality check across the gaming world on what AAA bloat looks like.
You’re not above the argument—you’re just ignoring the parts you can’t spin.
