Nope. You're still good. Although, lore-wise it is more "canon" to mix the powder with mithril chunks, you actually can achieve the same goal just by applying the quest blue powder to the mithril blade (then you immediately get your meteor blade).

I keep crashing 2 minutes after starting a game, no errors, just crash
