Community Update No.7: Talking About What’s Coming Soon!

First off, SP cost for aircraft needs to start taking into account HOW MANY of an ordnance you have, as well as what the ordnance is. IE, a Plane with only 4 mavericks should not cost the same as one with 6 of them; on top of that, Mavericks should not cost the same as something superior like KH class AGMs. This also would make it so that a spitfire with 1 singular 500lb bomb doesnt cost the same as a P47 with 2 1,000lb bombs AND a 500lb bomb.

Another example is with helicopters, a heli with 16x Hellfires should not cost the same as one with 8 FnF Spikes (or similar) or 16x Vikhrs Missiles. Additionally Hellfire IIs should cost slightly more to take than Hellfire I's. Again, lesser capable missiles should not cost the same as ones that are directly superior, and depending on the capabilities, even if you have more of the lesser missile, it should in some cases still cost less than a smaller load of better options (Hence why 8 Spikes should cost more than something like 16 Hellfires)

Basically, less capable weapons should impact SP less, and the AMOUNT that you have should also be taken into account.

Also the main issue with CAS currently besides select few BROKEN OP aircraft/armaments (almost exclusively Russian and German options), is the fact that scouting lessens the SP cost of aircraft.

Nothing should reduce the SP cost of aircraft besides what loadout you take on it. Scouting should not be a discount to hop into an aircraft. Please i encourage you as a person who plays both Tanks AND CAS, REMOVE SCOUTING DISCOUNTING. Rework the system to be something more relevant to the scouting role so it isnt just a speedrun route into a plane.
Scouting should reward more RP/SL, and for direct gameplay impact (besides making enemies visible) it should do something more related to the ground.

My Suggestion:
-Scouting reduces the cooldown on artillery strikes (if it is on cooldown).

-If a scouted target is KILLED by your marking, it should also contribute to a 1/2 or 1/3rd charge towards another artillery strike, basically scouts should be able to stack artillery strikes up to 3 consecutive strikes OR charging up your artillery contributes to how many rounds are fired in it (more scout credit means your next artillery call is more deadly as more shells are fired in a single volley).

-ALL TANKS should get artillery capabilites. The difference should be one or a combination of the cooldown (personally i think cooldown is long enough as is), the maximum call-in range, or the accuracy;
--Heavy tanks get the shortest range, and the largest fall-off in accuracy (gets less accurate the further it is from you quicker)
--Medium tanks get the current range we have now, with the current accuracy fall off we have now (basically medium tanks stay as-is)
--SPGs and SPAA get a bit more range (something like 1.5x more range) with lower accuracy fall-off (maybe 20% less) so they can call artillery on further off targets with more chance of hitting than a medium tank.
--Scouts get the most range (2x more), with the most accuracy (30% less accuracy fall-off)
The reasoning is artillery is mostly used as a way to make people who are camping, have to move or else they risk dying. It makes no sense for some tanks to have no capability of doing this. Scouts should have the best capabilities as their JOB is finding and reporting enemy positions, so they should be the best at it, and the best for making camping tanks move. The reason why SPGs and SPAA get the 2nd best capabilities is because they are meant to be in the back picking off heavy targets, and considering some SPGs are literal artillery vehicles, they should be better than most crews at spotting and giving coordinates; additionally SPAA get a similar buff simply because most SPAA cant contribute much to a team if there are no aircraft, so they can atleast contribute by having longer range artillery so they can help distract or force a camping tank to move while still being slightly behind the front line. Of course this is ignoring specific SPGs and SPAA that are unfair at range or broken for killing tanks, but the minority should not determine the rules for the majority and arguably these specific tanks should simply just be directly tweaked to not follow the standard ruling.

95% of CAS is fine as-is, and the main issue with 100% of CAS is the fact that scouting is a quick ticket directly into it. Often the reason why someone can rush a cap point in a light tank, cap, die, maybe get a scout assist, and get into a plane; which is absurd even as someone who enjoys CAS and Tanks pretty equally. Most SP costs are good as-is besides a select few planes and their ordnance needing SP increases (another example that flat out blanket costs and balancing doesnt work unless you are able and willing to tweak specific outliers) and even then most of that is an issue with scout reductions.

Finally, with these suggested changes in mind, please allow players to know when they are scouted. We are somehow able to tap into enemy communications in such a way that we are warned when artillery is dropped onto us, so why is it out of question that we simply know we have been scouted so we can respond accordingly? Not asking to know the location of the person who scouted us, just something that lets us know "hey the enemy knows exactly where you are, your cover is blown, be on the lookout". Even if its not continuous, just an audio or visual queue the moment we are scouted that lets atleast vigilant players know whats going on, similar to the red spotting triangles at the edge of the screen. Vigilant players can use it to their advantage while players who dont notice it miss out.
