So the game was bought knowing that PVP systems were in place but asking for a company grift is the right thing to do. Got it.

Thats a funny thought; imagine if they removed PVP from Call of Duty next Thursday. RIP that lmao

Playing over 2000 hours hitting NPCs in a game with massively engaging Coop and PVP? We can't all be heroes, evidently. Not every new player in a game sucks and not every veteran player just abuses OP mechanics. Hours of gaming would have taught you that but you have a narrative to shill and a grift to justify.

First of all, I did not ask for anything. Me and my friend got invaded a grand total of 9 times in 3 playthroughs. Out of those invasions 6 happened while we were in mid to low level and we got destroyed by OP stuff. The other 2 did not even touch us, as we already had OP weapons, and the last one we were farming the red reaper, already had diminished HP and resources after killing it like 5 times and then someone invaded and oneshot us while the reaper was fighting us as well. Not enough of a bad experience to justify petitioning the devs, but clearly, other players had a much worse time, and they went on to vote for a change they wanted.

Furthermore, I also bought a 5 series BMW which turned out it had a design flaw, namely, the AGR cooler was prone to malfunctioning and setting the whole car ablaze when it happened. So the company recalled it, and swapped the AGR cooler for a better one. It's normal to make changes and correct your mistakes, otherwise you lose customers.

Some people like PVP. There is nothing strange about it. There are dozens of psychological reasons which cause people to either like or dislike serious competition. In most games though, like CoD, singleplayer and multiplayer are well separated. This idea somehow eluded some soulslike devs, which is a pity really because it drives customers away. There is a reason seamless coop is so hugely popular in Elden Ring and the souls series. There is also a reason fromsoft released nightrein, a coop game with no PVP. You know PVP drives away customers when even the insanely stubborn fromsoft realizes it.

Do you seriously consider yourself a hero? Like, really? This alone explains a lot of things about you, not sure if I should continue this discussion.....
Massively engaging coop? In LotF, yes, the coop is very good, but in the souls games? especially in elden ring? Coop completely sucks there and it's an afterthought. You can't even play seamlessly, you got to resumon in each area, look for your friends sign etc. It's just sub par. Never felt the need to engage with those mechanics, like I never used the cigarette lighter in my car. You want to see coop done correctly? Go play Remnant 2. No PVP, but great coop, and pretty balanced as well. I'm not going to keep engaging with some mechanic that I tried and found not enjoyable. I'm not going to suffer just to get that 1 in 100 chance to run into an honorable PVPer that makes the game challenging and provides good sport. It's just not worth it.

Going back to the original post, only one person mentioned the big one, get those fast travel boards as quickly as you can. To teleport here and there costs in-game money, but the more of the signs you clear, the less expensive it is to teleport on the map, down to 0 if you get them all.

Now, the majority you can just experiment with to get, while others it can help to look on Youtube to see what the best approach is. Obvious ramps make it easier than the, "how do I get this thing?" ones.

Next up, if you have a "free car" available, sort by value and go for the most expensive cars. One of those cars was over $250,000,000, so you either play for a LONG LONG LONG time to save up for it, or you use a free car pass to get it.

Going from there, the season challenges will almost always have the requirement cars be the rewards for other things you can do. So, you don't need to buy most of the cars needed for the challenges. So, if you need a 2012 Lambo Aventador for some things, it's going to be a reward that season for having completed one of the other challenges.

Because you are playing catch-up, there are also the Horizon Backstage Passes that will let you get cars for having gotten a certain number of points for the week, and you can get good cars that way as well.

Now, the last thing I will suggest is not trying to "get every car", or do every last thing, just play and have fun, most of the cars will come in time, but others just aren't available(like getting the Delorean, it's never on the auction house, and it hasn't been available as a reward from ANYTHING since around six months after launch if I remember correctly. So, with limits like that where you just won't get certain cars, making completing the car collection your primary goal will just make things feel really boring and frustrating.

You an expect that after a few years of playing that you will just feel a bit bored, because the weekly(seasonal) stuff gets repeated, so that's why just having fun and not being focused on "completing the game" will help your long-term expectations. The game has been out for YEARS, so at this point, many just want to see Forza Horizon 6, even though 5 only recently came out for PlayStation.
