I'd argue that's more by proxy than by intent. You have to remember that Arrowhead accidentally made a successful game, then spent the next year trying to fix that. It wasn't until the playerbase quite literally bullied them into releasing a large-scale, sensible patch that the game really hit its stride. At the time of the 60-day patch, we all naively thought that Arrowhead had actually taken feedback on board and learned lessons. No, they just went through the motions of implementing changes they didn't believe in, or seemingly even understand.

As soon as public pressure eased up and the community stopped backseat-driving development, Arrowhead just continued doing things the only way they knew how. And so, issues which had already been solved were slowly reintroduced into new content, and the same bad designs crept back into the game. It's pretty clear by this point that the folks at Arrowhead are incapable of learning from experience or mistakes. They'll just keep doing the same thing over and over again, and wondering why players are angry "this time".

You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink. You can force Arrowhead to make a good decision, but you can't teach them what made it good, or how to do it again.

They probably will once they see it. That was the first thing I thought when I saw this game.

The problem is that they would need to look REALLY hard to make the CnD legally binding because I did hear that the Alliance barracks sounds were practically 1/1 with the Alliance barracks sounds from WarCraft which does seem to have been changed long before the game even went into its demo phase.

Forcing off crossplay, seems to help with this . however it will take longer to get in matches.
3 - 5 minutes with some nulls (you being the only player in that session waiting for it to fill just leave and try again )

or

the close quarter battles. they are quicker to fill and i think their capture sectors count.

either way , i was able to complete the challenge by forcing crossplay off and got into a couple battles where we scored 8 captures within 2 games.

At some point, a "Beta" has to bear fruit.

Any chance we can get some idea of when to expect such fruit? I don't really care at this point if it will be an apple, an orange or a kiwi, so long as it can be harvested.

I love the sim -- and have supported it (in writing) again and again. But it seems like it's getting about time to see some fruit harvested.

The continued wait might drive some bananas, and cause them to peel away, and that would be a shame.
