Bug has been fixed by latest quick patch. Just tested and I was able to complete mesa with zero issue. There is also a message at the main menu stating "The invisible wall bug in the MESA is FIXED SORRY!!"

FYI there's a new mod on nexus called immersive cargo halls which is sweet, it fills up with containers and stuff, depending on how much of your storage is being used, and you can jettison contraband or all cargo depending on need in the moment. https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/14217
