You're focusing on the means of accessing the currency, ie the banking and distribution system, rather than the currency itself.

2h shield imo isnt the worst starting weapon, it gives enough survivability to facetank.
But then even rifle isnt the worst starting weapon.
Personally i like to judge each weapon depending on how their pair with other weapons, so 2h axe and claws are always amazing for their buffs.

Breach is ok, but its not amazing because of 2ap cost
Shield up is great because you want this hero to be hit anyway because of passive
Moving wall is nice, its a movement skill, but its sadly expensive
Walls of pain is ok, its awkward to use, but it can hit a lot of enemies
What makes it a good weapon is the passive, perk damage it gives can be amazing on right build

Personally i find it good early on or in the middle of a run, as a secondary for movement skill and shield up alone, then sometimes you can use breach or walls of pain.

Problem is, there is always other weapon class i would rather take, like 2h sword is just amazing for momentum builds after the buff and if i sometimes need some block, i would rather just take a potion.

Claws are way better, sharpen skill is just broken

Yeah, it's good for it's passive, but it's passive only increases the damage of itself, and it's really hard to kill enemies quickly without also using up the passive and then not be able to kill anything anymore? It has lower base damage because it's balanced around having it's passive increasing it, but it always feels too low for me

And I think it is the worst starting physical weapon, maybe tied with 1h sword

Unless you have saved enough to spark, I wouldn't expect to pull whoever is in the banner.
There is a "Gacha Simulator" on Gametora if you want to experience how good or bad it is.

It could be worse. My favorite Umas are all 1~2 stars and I have to pull many copies to unlock their racing clothes/legacy Ults.
