For now there is only few practical reasons to get Pantheon heroes (they expensive and usually better just get common one).

1) Gets hero, which you cant get any other way - like dragons.
2) Rare tactics, which includes rare skills. Mostly it's:
- Mystic - School of Potential. For "Cipher of Dissonance" you need overpovered spells, so you may want to get another "wizard king" with "Channeling Ritual".
-Ritualist with "Ascension: Mistborne". They was nerfed in last DLC... but still prety cool. Stacking mist\plant cover(and other boons) on ally, and misfortune on foes - good combination.
3)And, of course, ppl use Pantheon heroes just for fun. Who need victory - if it's not fun? Sure you can use only same T5 units all the time... but it's boring.

May be something else... But for now - not much practical reason for Pantheon heroes. Which is strange... empire mode in "AOW planet fall" had much more features. So... pantheon here looks like a step back.

Ritualists do not work well alone. Endlessly resummoned 4 Entwined Protectors can hold off 2 stacks on their own. 1 Entwined Protector does jack all by itself.

I don't mean "solo" as in no accompanying units - or even other heroes. I just mean without stacking multiple Ritualists in a fight.

False alarm

Young people (i.e. anyone under 25 to 30) are always excited. Their minds aren’t fully matured, so they don’t really have a standard for quality. They’re not jaded by disappointments and dealing with real life concerns like paying the bills or working a job or seeing man’s inhumanity to his fellow man.

That doesn’t mean that us old people (i.e. age 25+) cannot appreciate new things or cannot look back and criticize bad stuff from our youth. We can totally do that. The Nostalgia Critic is an entire business dedicated to criticizing those old movies from your childhood. The Midnight Walk released just this year and I think it’s easily one of the greatest works of art in human history.

No, us old people are just harder to impress. We crave true art that sticks with us and gives us psycho philosophical mumbo jumbo we can continue writing video essays about decades later. Labyrinth and Dark Crystal are technically dark fantasy films for children, but you only really appreciate the symbolism as an adult.

The game will boot but when I go to start a new game, select factions it won't let me. They are all plastered with "Steam in Offline Mode" text. First time this has happened to me...
