okay but what does that have to do with battlefields potential player count? Thats not an accurate depiction of whos going to play the game? I have no doubt that if secure boot wasnt a requirement we would see a huge spike in player activity, if not it being doubled. The fact that everywhere i go i see constant back lash on secure boot, even from people that have it enabled, because its kind of outrageous to force something so dumb and lock potentially millions of other players out of a game all because you cant make an anti-cheat

Also is there some defining argument against me here, or is this the desperate attempt of a shill to discredit my point of view?
considering EA actively discussed with the community and the majority who participated in labs and such explained they were okay with secure boot i would say yes, it has to do with battlefields potential player count because it was directly related to bf6.

these mental gymnastics need to stop, you aren't winning any arguments by creating voids in the discussion that can actually be filled with legitimate context, you're helping yourself lose the argument.

that is the overall percentages of users using w11, w10 or older, that is definitely not the w11 and w10 users on bf6. You can literally look it up on pcworld. that in no way accurately tells you how many people are going to play the game using what os.

the fact that the game only had 9k pre-loads day one tells me a huge portion of people are locked out, and the fact that only another 5k got on today tells me that an large portion of people are locked out. yeah maybe not half because yeah thats unlikely but i wouldnt be surprised. my argument is still very valid even with an exaggerated statement

I think op has a point and almost everyone else is off topic. Game is supposed to be about what happens if your average city person suddenly finds themselves in an apocalypse.

I grew up in the country, skinned and ate plenty of rabbits with my family. But now I live in the city and out of every single person I know here, none of them are like that. Would they kill a rabbit by hand if they had to? Sure. Of course. They'll be hungry. But I guarantee the average person would get sad at the experience. At least the first time.

So I can see the character in game, unless they already have the desensitized trait or brave or something else that would explain why they went from starbucks barista to stone cold hunter, getting a sad moodlet at the very least the first time they killed a bunny by hand.

Anyone I know in this city would probably start crying, panic, try to give up, make the situation worse somehow, and end up successful in the end but with a bad experience. The next time they might be more careful to do it quickly and not think about it as much because they need the food.

This post isn't a question about what's right or wrong or trying to shame anyone for anything. It's not peta. It's a genuine question about how would the average person react in this situation. Most average city dwellers have NEVER seen a small cute animal outside of cute tik tok videos or pets. They definitely haven't eaten rabbit stew and even look at me like I'm weird when I say I like to eat rabbit. Some straight up say they would rather starve than have to kill their own animals.

So if we are thinking about realism and immersion? Op's right, a sad moodle makes sense.

I would heavily not recommend this game right now.
