Good for y'all, feeling nostalgic, can not relate in the least. Love mech games, but most of my memories of previous AC games are of being frustrated at god awful controls & worlds/story-lines that were hard to care about.

When spawning in any of the armed variants (M240, M2, M134, MK19, and TOW) I get a Lua error message. This message starts as soon as the vehicle is spawned in, and only goes away once it is removed. Error reads as follows:

This specific one is from the MK19 armed one. Any assistance in this matter would be appreciated.

I think it's the opposite actually.

I see the OG DxM as a love letter but business wise, it's a way to capitalise on the market niche. From Soft doesn't seem to be interested in developing AC6 back then and it's obvious that there is a market. While yes the end result is that it becomes a somewhat mediocre game that mixes an RPG - with the raid boss and looting - and AC, you can kinda tell they have their own thing going on.

I replayed DxM recently and compared to Armored Core, I like to think that it was inspired by AC but is trying to do its own thing which I respect. Now that AC6 is out, their core audience has went and gone to AC6. Staying in the same shadow doesn't make sense business wise (seeing the sales weren't that great) and it would be more profitable to branch out a little with what they bring to the table.

The core gameplay of it being AC, but with RPG elements is still there based on the trailers. In the case of DxM; TS, I personally am 50:50 on the whole new direction. The bodysuit was an interesting bit in the first game but it was obviously under cooked. Now that it's basically the new Arsenal, I'm hoping it could stand out and essentially be Anthem if it was actually good.

It sure does. Uninstalled it because of the crashing. Never used to happen before.

@Klipwc I used a har race myself and didn't find this bug you are encountering, which race did you try? could you share the log?
I'm aware of VPE, didn't hear any report until recently so I wonder if its something new they did recently that made it incompatible with my mod somehow. I will investigate and see if I can somehow fix the mod compatibility problems once I'm done with the current update

I had that happen when I accidentally wiped the terraform brush over developed roads. The roads stayed until bulldozed but the homes either raised up on mounds or sank just like that.
