So this comes down to "they have money, make it"? Typically you're not going to get everything you want on a single service; want a video uploading platform, go to one. Valve has basically 0 experience compared to the existing competitors.

Steam relies on their own systems and CDNs. They sell video games.
Youtube relies on their parent company Google which owns enormous datacenters. They typically sell user data, ads, tracking software etc.

The optional extras that are barely taken care of properly as-is. They're not a social media company. They're not a content creator platform, they're a video game store with a library client and optional forums/community sections, the closest they'll get to literal content creation is the workshop for customers of games.

If you want to be a content creator without youtube or want a competitor to youtube, pick an existing competitor that has significant experience compared to Valves 0 experience. They already branched out with the Steam Deck, and that is better than trying to be the next youtube competitor.

Hey, has anyone experienced this bug?

So, me and my friend were playing grounded 2 together and then he noticed that instead of the ingredients to create buildings and stuff it said morceau d'airelle which in French means piece of cranberry it said we needed 99 of them and we had 10

After that me and my friend made jokes about it and we said stuff like "Watch out the cranberries are coming right now" and the person who hacked us isn't the real Villan it's the cranberries"

Laughing at this pretty hard. It's a joke to consider returning to how things were. Since you're asking. Runs faster, looks nicer, works properly. You're cheating yourself denying the privilege of seeing it.

Sharper and clearer looking than even top tier shaders in custom engines, and does this without the expense destroying integrity of visuals. Nice if we got these things in other titles. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is an exemplary showcase of concepts in how new engines should work and what they should retain in the process or even discard.

Especially since it's reserved to exclusively functionality it is fully interchangeable with the right expertise. You're losing nothing, gaining a constant reassurance of proper execution.

Now, if you're not a cold hearted soulless individual you'd recognize there is a hidden magic of either. Zero incentive to contend with a depreciated long forgotten relic except revisiting rendering techniques.

All of those inclusions you get with the other one add little to nothing to the experience. I've even extensively checked. You're wasting time in the end once initial novelty is gone. Those would count if they were on EE redone, end of discussion.

so far all the game-play I have seen just looks like the 2042, have not seen any example of RT being used let alone path tracing. Do you think they are yet to implement it or something?

Love the game so far. PNG jumpscare is peak. Weapon swap speed is brutal, though that's intentional. Can't wait to see the full game with all the levels and character unlocks. Two thumbs up, would shoot my friends in the back again.
