A couple ideas if you want to test
- Use summons before the fight (from scrolls to save spell slots), they will be usefull to keep the ennemies busy without any cost in action/bonus action
- Use spore of haste where you start, that will double everyone actions and increase your movement in round #1 : you can pretty much get rid of all the guardians in round 1
- Rush your characters to the ramps then to the farthest central point (where you'll control the brain). Flight is usefull here, but you can use an arcanic portal too, or misty steps. Once there, globe of invulnerability to protect the illithid, and kill whatever approaches
- Forget the dragon if you want : he wont touch you in the upper ramp
- Once the illithid is concentrating on opening the brain, use a second haste spore, take flight potion for those not having them already
- When the brain opens, you'll be in good position to kill it in one round (use scrolls if you need)

man, nobody tell this persib that light pen is still very valid in the game even on Diff 10. Especially against bugs and squids.

I still main the Breaker and Liberator Carbine with short mags and Siege Ready passive like 60% of the time. Maybe learn to aim at weak spots just sayin. Mow down hordes with a sweet 1 sec reload.

Also has the Halo weapons stats been confirmed? Or is this banned trash panda just making stuff up because of his feelings?

The fact I basically have to quit out of the game in order to properly restart a mission in case something stupid happens is just stupid, especially if it's at the beginning or just at the end of the mission. I shouldn't have to do that. Provide a restart function.

If they have discarded a tile, calling Ron on another copy of that tile is an illegal move. Similarly, if a third player discards a tile after the Riichi and the Riichi player doesn't Ron it, it would be an illegal move to Ron another copy of that tile later. So you can deduce that the tile in question is 100% safe against the Riichi player.

There's sometimes you can make a hardcore logical deduction and know that you have a safe tile, and you can cherish when that happens because it never happens nearly enough.

Sometimes you have to make an educated guess and hope for the best. You try to pick the safest thing, but you're ultimately making a guess and sometimes you guess wrong.

And then sometimes you don't have any information at all to work with and you need to drop a tile and pray.

Realistically in this particular case, the right move would be to drop the 5 because you can deduce that it's a guaranteed safe tile, but then everybody will drop a tile around the circle and then it's back to you. If they didn't reveal another safe tile in those handful of moves, you're probably dropping the second best tile that time, which is the 9 that turned out badly for you.

Better play is statistically likely to work out better for you, but it wouldn't have in this case unless one of the other players decided to leap on that hand grenade to save you.
