hell no .. if you need mods to play any game for the first time the game isn't for you

Completely disagree, some games are trash without mods. Modders literally fix many problems that some games have and never should have had on release from bugs to simple game balance fixes. Games like Fallout 4 and the FF series immediately comes to mind for me as FF4 had god awful gameplay and the FF series needed mods to make the games run smoothly.
