Funny you mention. I am playing 2042 instead of this one. Actually I bought 2042 for the first time last week because of this one. My last BF before this was BF3.

What I like about 2042 is the PvE mode. If this one had it, I would probably be interested.

• Destruction is pathetic. Barely changes the maps at all, and obviously just there to be on a checklist.
  
• The same server-side issues with packet drop and desync that make BF4 unplayable.
  
• No suppression mechanic to discourage players from just holding the same position an entire round instead of getting clever and trying new angles.
  
• Rush is only 12 v 12
  
• Few simple transport vehicles to move around Conquest maps quickly
  
• Continued reliance on the CoD4 "ranks" system to unlock some essential equipment
  
• Reports of players being able to shoot during the animations of going prone
