I think people are also mistaking obvious placeholder assets for final art. Many of the item box arts last time around were very clearly placeholders. Some of them this time still are I think?

Exactly what I thought. I didn't think most of the assets were placeholders. The art style of the game just has a generic look to it overall. I assumed production was pretty far along at this point so why would so many assets be a placeholder?

Anyways I really don't think the game is for me but I'll still try the demo soon. I also hope the thread didn't come off as mindless bashing as some others did. I was pretty blunt with my opinion but it was only cause I was kinda disappointed at the direction of the game. Especially since I absolutely love UCH like many do

It would be cool if we could have rodents as pets, too. I'd love to raise guinea pigs.

There was that time I got the tactical ice paint, put it on my ship and the names and ID disappeared - had to change the font color to grey or black 😳

Early access this game is still 1/3 the install size 50x more gfx aesthetics for immersion vs release titles - this game makes d4 and poe 1+2 look even very poor artistically. Hats of to the artistry team well done. Quality looks makes the immersion better.
