A few suggestions, and a lot of feedback, and a few relevant topics

First, I died before i could build simple stuff to even get the "apothecary quest", ie building cooking place, building blacksmith, building crematory etc, why do i need to build food and weapons before an apothecary? also i cant figure out how to get more than the one villager i found, and the map system is really bad. I need a mini map and compass to follow, so i don't need to constantly open the full map as i walk and make sure the right direction, i should also be able to add markers for where i plan to walk so i can follow the markers i made with the mini map and compass system.

Also if i need to find certain things first before others like one place has the saw and another has the blacksmith stuff etc, why not allow me to know which marker corresponds to which quest? they are all question marks, and also so are other undiscovered things, so i need a way to know which area is for what quest, cause some things are more important than others, hence why i also died before i could finish what i needed to because i went places unsure which one i needed and what was where first. I'm not sure what part leads to a eventual apothecary but i died before i could see it.

Logically i think especially if i only have 1 villager, surviving on berries rather than cooking food, ie building a cook place, and also the farm stuff, isn't needed, not before the apothecary building, i can forage to survive, till apothecary is done, and a crematory isn't needed first, i need to heal my villagers (and me) before i need to burn them, it doesn't make sense to build something for the dead before the medicine i can use to save them so they don't die in the first place.

Also bath should be before the houses for villagers and before the wood working etc, in fact when i make the tent and fire to survive a bath should be what i first make, since its such an important mechanic and also being clean should help prevent and slowly cure plague, as one source of diseases if not being clean enough and often enough, so it should be one of the first things you gain after shelter and food and water, also means the well is first too, before other buildings, to survive we need a well first too.

So, if it were me in irl world, surviving, you need fire, shelter, food water, bath, medicine which ideally can be made and gathered when you forage for food and make food to eat, food is also medicine, so being able to craft medicine from foraged herbs and eat that when you also eat food, makes sense. irl if find medicinal plants in the wild when i would be foraging for food because these things often over lap, and can often serve as both food and medicine in one dish, a lot of things we eat and drink today historically where first popular as medicine, examples like various alcoholic drinks or tonics, and even the use of garlic were all things used as medicine before being popular foods or seasonings.

Especially if this game is based of historical/medieval times there's important research that can make this more accurate, even if the source of the plague isn't the same as irl plagues researching history of medicine will make it more grounded in reality, same goes for real irl survival information, i noticed your first hut reminds me of survival camping huts people build with leaves and such, which is good, so you must have researched at lease some survival stuff, but i think there's more to be done to improve the other survival stuff, like water from the wild shouldn't be an option, irl you have to purify water from bodies of water, so we should be able to clean water in a campfire, ideal with a container, like a metal canteen or if you don't have that, carving out the inside of a log and using two carved out logs with several rocks (not from nearby water or they explode) would allow you to clean water irl, (you put water in the logs, warm the rocks in the fire, put the warmed rocks in one log of water, then the other log (once they are cleaned by the previous log) and that's the water you drink.

Irl this is a real method, (provided you don't have unfortunate modern issues like chemicals from secret spills from factories etc like modern day wilderness, which i assume since this is a historical setting hasn't occurred yet.) A lot of this can be learned by watching YouTube, there is a whole wealth of knowledge there about historical food, building, clothing, and remedies (and drinks), and also modern info on survival camping and foraging.

(I've watch a lot of this and other history of things, and also how to do things, like i watched people who to this day still irl do blacksmithing, i watched how things are invented and engineered, and I've watched stuff about the various history stages, from a YouTuber who started with stone age and progressed though the various history stages to craft and produce things with what people would have used and done back then. his channel is called "how to make everything" very fun (but long if you start from stone age, so maybe don't watch EVERYTHING, just relevant stuff, he does all the steps and it takes several videos to go through each historical moment/age.)

Also when i died it crashed and i couldn't exit out the game, had to use task manager to quit the game. Part of the problem is full screen mode, which i needed to do cause the setting for windowed mode didn't have a way to adjust the size of the window, and i need to do that to be able to exit the game if i needed easily (like when it crashed), i also usually play with the bottom of my games not full to the edge of my screen cause when i move my mouse to the bottom of my games the taskbar of my computer unhides and i often accidentally click apps and open them when that happens, so i never play in full screen usually cause then i cant exit (or access my computer's task bar when i need to.)

Also i suggest a difficulty level setting when you are beginning the game, ie easy, normal, hard, very hard.

Also when you make your character, and i also would like a character customization option, why does it default the gender/appearance ect. I hope that's planned to be added. (i don't care about being a man, i honestly don't mind, because i'm non-binary and use they/them pronouns, but if you add gender options, please allow us to wear what we want, if i can be a girl but not be called she/her or if i can be a guy and wear a dress, (i don't mind he/him pronouns, but i am gender non-conforming), that's fine. also obviously id want to name my character anyway.

Is marriage also being added? would kids be a goal as the plague gets better so maybe the healing of the plague from the land can also eventually heal the fertility rate and lead to a population increase and the growth of more comfortable spaces and additional inventions or recreations.

With a growth in shops and making money etc, once survival gets easier, people inevitably will want to do more of the fun stuff in life and making money is one of my favorite things in a game, besides building and decorating with that money, and making more and more money, since irl i cant do that lol

i also would love to invent things in a video game but no one has yet to make a game that i know of that allows you to truly engineer (through the history, imagine inventing stainless steel or electricity sounds fun to me. idk why that isn't a thing, engineering can be fun. Watch the anime Dr.stone, you'll see, i mean i learned how TVs are made from that show, and apparently its engineering. (i will warn you the show isn't 100% accurate, its a fantasy science base show.)

Also i prefer playing with controllers, (because of accessibility reasons) so i hope controller support is eventually added (for now it sorta works partially to use it but i still have to use the keyboard for some actions and use the mouse for some parts, cause i'm not "configuring" custom controller stuff. Constantly pressing a button to "cut down a tree" or "hit a rock" is exhausting, could you add a way to toggle the action to repeat, so one press and hold can allow you to repeatedly do an action with a tool, and i hate having to "stop" to pick of items i forage every time i walk by and collect an item, it slows me down WAY too much and its annoying, the animation is annoyingly long and feels unnecessary, it makes me hate collecting things. It also seems to remove my sneaking stance, which is concerning isn't it?

Do we have ways to make paths, so i can make roads and sidewalks for buildings, and id like a way to build and decorate custom homes, (when survival isn't as bad it could be nice to do more to make things nicer, i love building, doing layouts that are unique to each home, decorating a porch, putting plants in and outside places. I'd also hope the farming can look more farm like, instead of just garden beds, id like to eventually have large fields that are "plowed" etc, like real farms, essentially why should my village stay a village, i want it to grow bigger and bigger, after survival gets easier, it would make sense for it to gradually grow and get prettier. building schools for the children and seeing people grow old and live a full happy life, thanks to me saving them all from the plague, and i will definitely grow attached to them, the longer they grow and evolve by my side. the plague isn't just about me surviving, but about me helping everyone else survive, being the hero, and taking people in caring for them, they aren't just slaves, they are family/companions you gain along the way, and maybe eventually my subjects? lol yea id like being king.

Is there magic in this world? could i use magic to heal the world of the plague? or is it only science that heals the plague. or is science and magic the same thing, if you think about it, matter (from science) and mana (from magic) are basically the same thing, i thought about this a lot, trust me its makes a lot of sense its just a different word people gave to things, they are both building blocks of life, one just does extremely impressive seemingly impossible feats, yet if you think about science, and technology, and what we can do now vs what people from the past would have thought if they knew what we could do today, those people in the past would call what we have today magic, so who's to say if magic isn't the future tech we didn't invent yet? just a few thoughts.
