For anyone receiving Miss-Information, Please bare in mind. Krafton bought the rights to Subnautica & Unknown Worlds. This doesn't mean that Krafton developed it. Updates & features are still Unknown Worlds' engagement.

Take Rocket League for example. Epic games bought the rights to Pysonix. (Developer and Studio). And yes there are mixed feeling for that. (TS&C cannot be disobeyed).

The point stands that the team are all still here, and are simply expanding market strategies. I personally can't fault Krafton for doing so, as long as contracts are not breached. (Which Krafton did with the $250M Bonus). But optimising the game is all down to the hands of Unknown Worlds.

I know for a fact that Unknown Worlds would rather see people enjoy their game rather than receiving money for a product. I hope the community can be restored, instead of people 'Boycotting' the game.

If you purchase subnautica 2 your money goes to Krafton and you let them get away with their scummy practices. The devs are on a payroll anyways so they'll be paid or fired, but they won't see much of your money. I'm a huge SN fan with over 700 combined hours but i'm not getting SN2 till the fevs get their justice!

You are correct. The compass' magic needle remembers only your most recent sleeping place. Congratulations. You made one of the common errors of playing this game: not marking your home base. You are not the only one to have done this.

You are in the northern hemisphere. So a hot land is always south of a temperate land. If you want to find the grassy land where you started, go north. The map shows only the zone you're in. But if you mark a location on the map, it stays there, and you'll see it again when you get back to that zone.

So now you have a combination of things you can do in any order. Retrace your route before you forget it to find your home base. And/or mark a location where you want to be in the hot zone. And/or mark good places to leave your boat. Perhaps build fires or tall structures on the beach so you can find them again easily, especially in the dark. Pretend it's real life. What would you do in real life ?

The point, as always, is to discourage people from buying the game. They don't care if what they post is true as long as they don't buy games their movement doesn't agree with. If Steam were smart, they'd ban them from doing so but instead they allow them to flood these forums with garbage day in and day out.

Congratulations on misrepresenting the nuance in the discussion. That one is about people lying about Shadows costing 400m to make. This one is about a company releasing DLC for their buggy, unfinished game that's still in early access. I love when foolish people try to manipulate what's being said.

There are areas around the map where you can harvest them safely. I mean, I harvested enough for me to move from the south to the north in one trip... How many do you even need?
