Ok, so they just make your character relevant for 1 season before they become useless forever, good to know.

They made it pretty easy to respec now, so you shouldnt be useless just because an ability got nerfed.

They gotta balance at some point you know? What are they supposed to do? Only buff everything else when players find stupidly OP combinations of items/skills/gems? Thus making the entire game easier and easier?

Well then they could also make enemies harder to compensate every single time, and numbers just keep rising and rising. Sounds like a better way to do it would just be to nerf the broken/exploitable/OP thing. No?

So there is a new way to go into the old version so go into the new version of whos ur daddy then it will show you a bunch of game options click on the one that says "WYD Classic" then ur in the old game!

That does not work. When I select the WYD Classic option it spins like it’s going to load and then goes back to the steam menu of the game

All I play is solo and I do great. It's possible,it's hard but it's possible,

Go search YouTube. There was a video on how to turn off stuff in the tech tree, and a couple of the mods were focused on turning off mines, submarines, and torpedoes. You could probably do it by messing with torpedo propulsion (if you wanted to keep torps around with limited range).

It doesn't bother me enough to mess with it. I generally lose interest in campaigns after about 1925 for the reason that everything becomes radar controlled, you never miss.

I 'believe' but am not positive that DIP and NAR are still being worked on, but the changes in 1.6 and 1.7 made modding more difficult to produce a stable product. But remember they are both looking to do a major and complete overhaul, not just turn off torpedoes.

1.5 might be your best bet for a DIY mod, since it doesn't have the minor nation excesses and related logic changes.

BTW - in Settings>Windows Update just 'Pause Updates' for 2 weeks, come back once a week and reset that to 2 weeks again.

The issue, in my case, was that HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\HungAppTimeout contained an invalid data type. It was a REG_DWORD, but had to be a REG_SZ instead. The official documentation.

I had to delete the Registry value. Then, I had to reboot, in order to make the change take effect. This fixed the problem.
