As I have always said, this game looks absolutely amazing, and runs so well on any system that I have played it on but even from the beginning I have always disliked the card system and wished that they would have done the same game but with much simpler mechanics. I don't mean to be another person that just compares it to left 4 dead but honestly that's what people want from a game like this, the same simple formula that left 4 dead gave us years ago, lots of gore and zombie killing action.

I hope it has lots of replay value like Slay the Spire. Plenty of difficulty levels and randomness. :D

Creation Engine 2 came out 2023. if you want to focus on first release then Unreal Engine 1 came out 1998 and creation engine a couple of years after that.

The issue is when people with second hand knowledge try to be just like their favourite content creator and force day 1 nok with a spawn on the other side of the map, effectively wasting day 1

I think gamers are far too fixated on the results rather than the journey these days. Losing isn't a big deal; it provides valuable knowledge. that's supposed to be the entire point of the souls series.

The Don't Starve devs had an article[support.klei.com] back in the day on their experience with gamers interacting with hefty objectives, and why they phased out of a quest system for their game.
I see the same issues they talked about popping up everywhere these days.

So i started with the gravship opening and launched off of the mech platform. Im trying to land on a tile but everytime i try, i get stuck in the landing animation and the ship never comes on screen, my screen just shakes like it wants to. I have a few mods installed, are there any known mods that cause this issue?
