sadly the expeditions are the fastest way to grind those mushroom.
ones you have done all the bosses on normal mod then the hardmod grizbolt fight you get access to a expedition that 100% of the time give about 10 mushrooms.

if you grind alphas, max condense and max out HP/ATK/DEf with souls and IV you can cut the timer by a lot.

i myself have a entire page fuel of jormuntide ignus for the Xenolord fight and all though they are far from finish and only 6-7 of them are alphas. just with them i have expedition time of 6 minutes. ones i'm done with them i bet i can get the 5 minutes limit.

if you like to grind at the same time go to underground bosses on the map to grab some.
example be: splatterina, lyleen noct. blazumut, ect...

FYI, They corrected this with the current update. the timer doesnt go down with more powerful pals, it now goes down to only 37 min by doing ALL of the research. It sucks because before the update i had it down to 12 mins just with the pals. Best thing is just look through all of the research and do only the expedition upgrades to lower the time and upgrade the pals for the drops % to go up. i get around 25-40 mushrooms per run and thats because i have 2 bases and 1 expedition on each. so one of my bases isnt getting the better run but it still brings it in.

You should be able to play with that. Are your nvidia drivers up to date, I know they had a rash of bad ones.

I suspect that maybe the newest nvidia driver is at fault. I played the last few days Gears Tactics before Mafias release without any problems. Then updated to the current newest version and now every time a mission ended i got a 100% crash at the rooster view in Gears Tactics with GPU error and in Mafia 4 i get strange lines from some objects sometimes and also now crashes at the same point in chapter 4 where Enzo chases a car on horse back.

I went back from to v58x to 577 and the crash during the chase is gone and no visual errors so far.

no errors just straight crashes

Iv had the same issues, havnt had much time to look into a fix, but the event viewer had VRam error then eaanticheat crashing/closing at the time of the crash.
i7 14700F RTX 4060.
