What is the purpose of the lantern, other than the visual effect it provides? Does the difficulty algorithm increase at night? Do my ranged weapons only shoot what is visible in the light? Thanks!

I genuinely want to know how people feel about one or the other. Just comment closed or open weapons for what you would personally like to see in the full release if the devs were to decided to go with one!

Open Weapons = All weapons on all classes
Closed Weapons = Signature weapons (Per class), Carbines, Shotguns, DMRs on classes.

Tbh, I’d be a bit disappointed if it’s just Act 4. Wouldn’t be surprised if they dropped all three missing acts together though—that would be dope. Literally don`t care about new classes or ingame auction house.

as stated above, first playthrough, i recommend using no mods (at most, quality of life like colorcoded ore).
for dlcs:
royality: mostly safe to add. a bunch of new tech, a few new dangerous, but unless you go deep into the psycast or empire nobility, mostly a "simple" expierience without to much depth.
ideology: as stated above, huge setup time, either disable this dlc or pick a pregenerated one based on what sounds good.
biotech: if you want different kind of humans (and some genetics), enable it, but i would suggest staying away from the mechanitor (the mechlink once you start the quest, just ignore it) and don't go into the sangophage, the first requieres a lot of rethinking and the second a lot of infrastructure.

disable both, anomaly and odyssey. unless go lean heavy into one or both dlcs, they won't add to much (if you realy want to have the new biomes from idyssey, just ignore the gravship quest).

Speaking of, I'm curious how people feel about Queen's Gift. I took it a few times and I think it's decent. Realistically it gives about 2 points 40 amber for 36 tools and minimum effort. Not game changing but useful if taken at year 4/6 that helps with closing out a game.

It was the first time i even saw or noticed this. Probably because there are those "well known" cornerstone i am quite accustumed to. But i had only 1 cornerstone to choose due to the map malus. So i now had to check what it meant, and i figured at year 2 having only completed one single order, it migh be good. I already had the tinkerer. (Sadly the smelter came WAY TO LATE:D). I also had ill luck in the first 5 years to get stones to open them. I could only open one in year 3. Then they just accumulated before my warehouse.

Actually it has a few synergies too. For instance you can get hostility removal with the each loyalty equals -10 hostility cornerstone, there is the open x catches timed order, and finally the +1 global resolve for every opened chest. So it can be quite powerful if the synergies all come together. But even with just the -10 hostility it can get you depending when you got it ~50 hostility removal at least. (If you get it at year 2 like me. And can open them, like i could notXD)

While we are at it, lets also put bleach while the P2W players are washing their dark color clothes. BWAHAHAHAHA! THE EVIL IMPULSE IS REFRESHING!

There seems to be no rhyme or reason to which abilities are available at which level and it doesn't tell you which ones will unlock other ones.

If an ability has a level requirement, it is listed on that ability's info card. Same with what other ability is needed to unlock the one you are looking at - on the info card.

It does not tell you what other abilities will be unlocked by taking the one you are currently looking at because that list could potentially be huge, turning the info card into an essay instead of quick reference it is meant to be (abilities can potentially unlock other abilities, talents, items, various combat mechanics etc.)

I started playing and had the same thought, it's pretty unclear on what to be done next. I also played the previous supra games but it has been a little time since then. I keep thinking I must really be missing something but not sure what it is.

As of now I have 4 yellow eggs remaining and found 2 that I can't hatch yet, latest ability unlocked is the jump.

If you would like a little hint…

The egg half in chocolate is obtainable. Look at the area around you. The egg entirely in chocolate needs a tool you get soon.

Thanks, I did find the Egg in half chocolate, and there's a button that I assume would turn on the light, but the wires need to be connected. I assumed there's an ability I don't have, or I'm dumb and missed it. I assumed that whole egg would be for later if I missed something else, will keep looking.
