@Sertorius -- The only thing I'd like to see changed regarding skill checks is a bit of RNG. Instead of, say, needing 60 charisma and always failing at 59 and always succeeding at 61, perhaps a weighted system that at the very least gives some chance, albeit a smaller one, if the player doesn't have the 60 charisma. Does that make sense?

I'm not against it on principle, I already used a similar system in another game after all, but there are several reasons that made me opt for a deterministic system in Never Second in Rome. The first is that the partially randomized checks in a Legionary's Life got too many complaints, along with the presence of randomness in too many aspects of the game. So I designed this one to remove the presence of the RNG where I could, for example from the training system, the checks, and so on. Another reason is that players could easily savescum to pass a check if there were a random component involved. Finally, checks should be passed if the training and the preparations have been sufficient. I think for example of the very basic Discipline check in the first camp event: if the player assigned at least three pips to Drill and the Supervision score is high, there is no justification for a failure, but a random component would make it possible, and that would be rightly perceived as unfair.

If you are new, the server that has the Manibus (Novice) scenario is the one you should look at. If you want to play from start to finish, try looking at a server that has opened recently (not the one that WILL open). Since it is new, you should be able to get into the server with your friends quite easily.

Any other server/scenario (even Manibus, not novice) might be too overwhelming for a new player. However, if you are looking for the Starfall inversion event, those will not be present on the Novice server. Just get into normal Manibus with the Starfall inversion tag should still be easy enough for new players.

So far I've only seen transports allowing the use of rifles but nothing else.
I guess smg and shotguns too.

Shotguns can be fired from transports for sure. Didn't check with SMGs since even if they do the damage is small (I'm pretty sure that they can be fired from inside tho), but crewing Movement Carrier with plasma shotgunners and running close circles around an enemy is fun and damaging, while also suicidal at the same time on higher difficulties.

Dude, even 4 wins is one more than average and it means someone else left with only 2 wins. We can't all finish with 4+ wins, it's mathematically impossible. So what is this, the matchmaking is bad because you lost too much, did I get that right? Is the matchmaking doing your picks? Does it play the deck you drafted?

The matchmaking is bad because it punishes you for doing well in other gamemodes and rewards you for playing only draft.
Also any sbmm reduces long term effects of skill on winrate. You win more, you get harder and harder opponents. Thats not the way draft mode in ccg should work
