I think half of these people do not realize that Gnosis doesn't change anything but open up new gear, locations and other hidden content with some often powerful goodies in them. Gnosis only makes Elite Enemies appear more frequently as well as more/new traps and Challenges around the map.

It doesn't increase the health, damage or make the enemies smarter. Half of these people complaining about having to raise the Gnosis level don't even know what they are talking about on a base level. The only time it actually gets more challenging is at Gnosis 4 where you encounter Elites more regularly but even then, they're just beefed up versions of the normal enemies.

Have any of these players ever tried making use of the double jump in this game, or taking cover behind a rock and taking potshots at the enemy? It is baffling to me that people complain about the mobility when I get to places where I bump into invisible walls. Half of the enemies you can cheese and the other half isn't even worth mentioning, lol.

"Sanity is a bad mechanic, getting punished for looking in an FPS." - What are you even talking about? You can shoot the creepers ball as soon as it spawns. (Kind of annoying when you're trying to kill it and it pops up right before that.) Taking cover behind objects for the Sanity Labyrinth or simply not spending 50 hours in the melee range of a Monk or not going into the Dream when the game LITERALLY tells you to. Not once in my life was Sanity ever an issue. Me being greedy or not knowing a fight for the first time for sure, but Sanity? Hell no.

I haven't played the game in it's earlier stage but after having played it for now and finding my grove it's become really enjoyable. Some things I'd still like to see improvements on like weapon variety and general balance between the weapons because most of them feel horrenouds to use in the later locations and generally a bit more of a buff to a lot of the current Arcana and their Prophecy versions. Most of them feel very underwhelming to me.
Now after 15 hours I agree, as I understand now my frustrations at those moments where the progression and lack of gear at those stages making things harder to get to higher gnosis to get better gear, now at gnosis 3 I feel much more comfortable and when I die at least know I know why instead of saying is the gear fault, I personally dislike the range mechanic being so restrictive at times but that's a me thing I would love if the devs gave a bit more leniency on the range threshold for damage, like being done in a more gradual manner like give every non long range gun a tiny bit more range, I think a few meters could make a big change and not absolutely make you use a assault rifle like a sniper
