"Mysterious Moon of <planet name>" usually provides a means of getting dark matter, but can also give partial progress towards a specific physics tech. Check the planet for an additional feature, the moon for a deposit, or you physics tree for a partial tech.

Alright, I’ll say it: I love X4, but the universe feels like it’s been lobotomized. We keep getting DLCs with more ships—which is cool, don’t get me wrong—but it’s like giving us new toys in a sandbox where nobody else wants to play.
Stations are gorgeous, but once you’ve docked, it’s like walking into a wax museum. NPCs just stand there, staring into the void, waiting for you to awkwardly bump into them. There’s no reason to talk to them. No quests, no shady deals, no personality. I’d settle for a dodgy bloke in a trench coat offering me illegal space carrots at this point.
We need life. Even basic fetch quests, faction drama, black market networks—something that makes the universe feel like it’s actually inhabited. Right now, it’s all systems and no soul.
And the AI? It’s like everyone’s on autopilot. Traders don’t adapt, pirates don’t scheme, and the universe doesn’t react to what you do. It’s like being the only person at a party who showed up in costume.
X4 has insane potential. The mechanics are deep, the scale is massive—but if the world doesn’t feel alive, it starts to feel like a spreadsheet with lasers. I’m not asking for Witcher-level storytelling, just give us a reason to care about the people in this universe.

100% agree. The next huge update should focus on the NPC's and/or ai reaction to the player. We need more life!

That being said, thumbs up to the devs. Still actively supporting this game after so many years. I enjoy it very much.

Valheim in a nutshell is absolutely "dark souls baby mode with minecraft features".
It's clearly not a ds due to all other differences in the game, but Valheim's combat plays very very similarly to DS' with how you swing, defend and to some extent move.

However, the difficulty is a lot more forgiving, like how dodge roll just makes you invul for what seems to be a whole second or so, or how parrying has a wide window of active frames. Whiff frames are less active in valheim etc. In valheim you get passive health regen after just eating a lousy mushroom you found inside an old toilet. You can have a ton of healing potions and only limiting factor is a cooldown so you can't spam it. Many animation cancel exploits like how you equip/unequip hammer to unequip your weapons without slowing down.

While in DS you have to be much more precise with your timings. Missing your attacks is much more deadly. You can heal only so much and have no mana regen by default. And many more examples like this.

So many players love 2v8 and the other limited game modes as well... so, respectfully, if you don't like it, you don't have to play it, it's as simple as that... but in the meantime, please kindly refrain from trying to dash everyone else's fun just because you don't care for it... Who is "Nobody"? You? With all due respect, the game isn't just all about you...

Alot of people are wanting this mode to be gone. Mostly because of the long waiting times.
if the devs are gonna make another mode, then make more servers. Otherwise, dont implement these different modes because these wait times are outrageous.

and some of use actually work, mind you! so respectfully, dont dash at people wanting normal waiting times because we just cvant affrod the 20+30 min wait times.

Well this is the thing though. There was a brouhaha over the pay processors not wanting to process pornographic or otherwise sado masochist or whatever type content.

And these Content Creators went nuts about "free speech". And what the future was going to be in lieu of developers not being able to sell such games on Steam.

Now we have the same creators, trying to cancel a game based on illegal migration.

In the end here is where we are.

We are going to an ID based verification system. For games, for You Tube, for all of it. I would guess three quarters or these YTers subscribers would then go bye bye, and they would have to find themselves meaningful jobs.

In short, everyone the same. Freedom for Me, but not for Thee.

Where is any proposed ID system for games?

States and countries are moving to an ID system. The State of Louisiana is suing ROBLOX, and when you compound these matters with other countries, that is the direction we are going.

Iv noticed that most of the people in this forum are that guy.

A bunch of people who can't beat the game at level 1 with no gear playing on a dance pad cosplaying like they are actually any good at Souls games.

Its sad that they hide from these challenges while pretending to be so good at the game.

I would like to have achievements on this game.

Time will tell, but for now it seems like a massive nothing-burger and an attempted grift.

False. They operate from the USA. Brits reach out and connect to said US servers. If the Brits politicians don't like that, they can block access to those sites from people in Brit land.
