No. Off the top of my head the way to lose honor is if you don't protect your allies or vassals, or if you loot a province.

If you don't want to take garbage provinces, it's useful to figure out what the best provinces are and what the worst ones are. Best ones are ones that have fertile or very fertile farms plus a useful speciality like a smuggling district, iron mine, etc. With that said, even garbage provinces can clearly synergize with your other provinces and provide you with decent income via things like ports and overland trade. I find that it's easier to make money with five garbage provinces than it is with holing up in one really good province.

Anyway, yeah if you don't want the enemy to have land, then take it then burn what you don't want them to have and leave it to rebel. If they aren't at war with you, use a monk or missionary to cause a rebellion. The AI is surprisingly lazy about taking or retaking rebel land a lot of the time.

Just be careful about rebellions, often they will spawn a named clan rather than just generic gray rebels. This can happen when the clan has already been wiped out, and the rebellion is in one of their original home provinces. If one of these named clans retakes their land as rebels, the clan is reborn and will be at war with you. I find that if I send my army to siege their castle, they will make peace with me and make a trade agreement. Sometimes just having my army in the province next to theirs will seem to make them accept peace.

also night mode uses difficulty settings but none show up directly you have to click day shift then the difficulty then go back into night shift
