Honestly, I don’t get what TaleWorlds is doing here.

Bannerlord still has so many holes in it that I can’t believe DLC is even on the table before the base game feels done.

1. Diplomacy & politics? Barely there. Relationships with other lords mean almost nothing, there’s no real intrigue, marriages are shallow, political decisions are paper thin.

2. Cut Warband features: Feasts? Gone. Marriage events? Stripped down. Unique scenes? Missing.

3. Companions feel soulless: They’re just stat sticks with a face. No personality, no meaningful dialogue. Nothing.

4. Economy & management is a joke: Workshops just spit out money with no control, towns with 8k+ prosperity give only 2000 denars in taxes, there’s nothing to kinda do in terms of ruling an economy.

Siege & battle AI still bad: Ladders bug out, troops stand around confused, formations break for no reason — all after years of promises to fix this stuff.


I love the combat, it’s solid. But the moment you try to roleplay as a ruler, make decisions, or feel any real connection to the world… it all falls flat.

Dropping a DLC now feels way too early. The game needs finishing touches, not a price tag add-on.

I will buy 2 for myself and will gift it to at least 2 people, Will buy 3 if they scrap all the diplomacy menus currently ingame and allow me to attack any party at any time.

That would be tough to fully settle on a proper ranking of my favorites so in no particular order...

Flamethrower
It took me a while to find a set of perks I enjoy with this thing but was worth the investment to see literal walls of fire pouring across the islands once set up. Big shot, heavy shot, bounce shot. Very fun to play.

Minigun
Lots of little things make the minigun of enjoyable for me. There are perks you might not expect to play nice with the minigun turn out to be fantastic with the right load out. Piercing shot and time shot or glue shot and aura shot can rapidly mop up a map if you manage to pull them.

Cluster Launcher
Short and sweet on this one, first gun I've unlocked diamond rank with.

For Nagashi and anyone else encountering this issue: Bumping down the resolution to 1600x1200 60hz fixed it for me.

It does make navigating the menus annoying but at least now the actual races function.

This actually somewhat works, thank you very much! I experimented with the configuration and in fact certain screen sizes make the bug is much less severe. I can actually play the track, at most it lags slightly at some specific points.
