Second saying "its a network thing" doesn't have ANY bearing on whether something can or can't be patched. You're just throwing out words and assumptions.

Third those glitches were patched out end of story, you assuming I havent touched a 360 since 2006 means nothing if those glitches were already patched. Are you trying to say they were patched back in? Unlike you I was there trying to find the new method for crab walking everytime the newest method got patched out. Same with the instant kill chainsaw glitch.

And no you didn't do them yesterday as you need to play online with enough latency to the host and that game is dead.

Stop trying to make things up and jusut accept the facts.


The original Gears still has a dedicated player base. This is my clip from 3 months ago. I don't got recently published clips but buddy I play the original 2006 since every single week and always find games.

Crab walking has always been the same. It's literally just pressing Down + A when moving from cover to cover. That has never ever changed. Nor have any of the glitches ever been patched out. You can still remote chainsaw, chainsaw chain, kung fu flip, crap walk, skydive, revive fly, and walk on air. Every single glitch I did as a kid I can still do.

I seriously would love for you to tell me this new method of crab walking so I can do it today.

You are so lost.

First off you seem to misunderstand when I reference newer crabwalks (a lot more than that actually). Techniques would be patched, new ways were found. There were atleast three different ones patched one after the other when I played.

Now on to the rest.

Small groups playing Gears doesn't really mean the game isnt dead. When you have to organized scheduled plays then yeah its pretty dead.

As for Glitches no idea whats going on in your play but my point is Epic wasn't just letting these glitches live and were actively patching them as is mentioned in many guides and videos referring to the famous june 14th patch that killed most of the glitches at the time.

You claiming glitches were never patched is nothing but a fantasy.

Also I saw you spewd that "MuLtIpLaYeR wAs MaDe iN tWo WeEkS!" nonsense in the thread you linked. Maybe stop lying?

Incidentally @Aggroblakh, the fact that there are several recent threads with multiple people asking how to deploy their artillery batteries might mean that there's good reason to create a bespoke 'Deploy batteries' command for artillery that prioritises fire pits as destinations :)

Seems like it's confusing a number of people since 'Watch Duty / Rest' are not intuitive commands for your artillery.

Good call. Watch Duty currently only applies to infantry units. It grants them bonuses to sight checks and makes their AI more aggressive in dealing with trench raiders, at the cost of not recovering morale at the same rate as resting. More relevant, it prioritizes trench and blockhouse tiles when dragging over an area to place them.

Since all artillery automatically engages in counter-battery fire I figured it was unnecessary to add Watch Duty for artillery. But now that you mention it, Watch Duty for artillery would at least be useful for getting them into artillery pits without having them switch to Anti-Air duty. Then I could infer similar bonuses and drawbacks with sight, aggression, etc on top of that. I'll get that in the game and see how it goes, thanks for the tip!


When placing my artillery within artillery pits they now automatically switch to 'Watch Duty', once they are in this mode its a gamble whether or not I can control them to conduct a bombardment (about 95% of the time they do not follow my order). Any sugestions?
