Footsteps behind the player Irregular footsteps, sometimes close, sometimes distant, as if something is lurking but never revealing itself. Vary the surfaces: wood, gravel, metal—to suggest movement through different environments.

Ambiguous creaks Wood settling, walls groaning, objects falling for no apparent reason. Very subtle sounds, almost inaudible, so the player questions what they just heard.

Human (or inhuman) breathing Slow, raspy breathing, sometimes gasping, emerging from the silence. Can be placed behind the player or in the left/right ear to create a sense of proximity.

Heavy silence between sounds Don’t overload the ambiance: silence can be more unsettling than noise. Leave moments of calm before a sudden sound to provoke jump scares.

Dynamic effects based on player actions The longer the player stays still, the more oppressive the sounds become. If the player turns around, the sounds stop… as if “it” knows they’re looking.

Bonus: techniques to amplify unease Use binaural audio so sounds seem to come from precise directions. Slight distortions on familiar sounds (like a voice or child’s laugh) to make them disturbing. Imperfect sound loops that never repeat exactly the same way, so the player never gets used to them.

I think Conans graphics are fine, they could however increase the amount of Foliage and details in the enviroment. More grass and snow tracks ect ... But texture wise, the game looks great.

I just got the game when i heard the news of early access, S tier level game, up their with games like ultrakill.

having the same issues. tried all the suggested ideas but its on mission 9 and it will not load at all. shame because I am so close to finishing the game on hard and all that time spent feels wasted because I cant load the level. was this issue prevalent in the xbox 360 version or just PC?

Only the PC version has such problems. Try installing another version. I mean the DVD version.

sorry I know this is old now but I only just saw you responded to me. So is it something to do with the steam game then? I do own the dvd copy somewhere so if I re install it via that it should be ok?

Is it just me or are the changes to Deutschland/Reinhard in dark blue, the rest in black?

you can bypass it via VPN, soon as you in game you just can disable VPN...
but i dont think this was the reason. but i also dont know why they did this...
its terrible with this ping right now. more then half of games has chinese, japan and VAC bans...
