I today set up a Steam Family and added my son because I didn't want him sharing my save games. I add his account to the Steam Client on my PC and start up Fez. I was definitely surprised to find my own save games appear. I can see now why this is happening, but it makes sharing games a lot more complicated. I separate user account in the OS will presumably solve the problem for most games. But no solution for the Deck. So I can't share my Deck with him.

Hey Rob! Valve has been battling with this problem for years, but it has recently been fixed for most games even on the Steam Deck, you can see more about my research in another similar thread here.

As for Fez specifically, it doesn't even use Auto-Cloud, but proper, Steam-integrated APIs to store cloud saves. They are saved in Steam user specific folders according to their account IDs and should never get mixed. Are you sure this happened with Fez? Are you sure it was Fez downloaded from Steam, or do you own it from some other place and had it added to the Steam client yourself?

eh, if it's p2p then so what. I play Grim Dawn and it's p2p. I don't need some serverside economy to deal with, where people try to turn the game into a profession, like poe or something. Those types of "action rpg's" are garbage. And yeah, i'm brutally honest, i don't care.
