You could easily find it in the green store with a 100% discount.
But you don’t do it.

For some reason, you’re trying to bargain over the price to get a discount.
So, you don’t actually want the game as it is.
But you want the game on Steam with their service and don’t want to pay the full price.

You see value in the product, but you disagree with the price.
You perceive less value than they’ve stated in the price tag.

It’s not their problem that you see less value in the product and don’t want to pay the full price.

But also advice like "just cap your fps" are crutches, not actual solution. A gpu should not be overheating even at max load. There is something wrong with your gpu cooler and the most likely cause of the overheating is simply dried up thermal paste.
