I didn't even know this was a thing, thank you. I've been playing for 130 hours (which for me, is not a lot for a base MH game) but once I did the maths on the event quest, it seems crazy the amount of time you need to play, for the amount of spheres you get. I will look into smelting, thanks.

Make water HBG and kill tempered Gravios in 2 minutes, you will farm plenty of materials

it checks for all 3 requirements that have to be met. (frequency,mood,recreation)

every 2 days 40%mood 40% recreation, all have to be met to take the drug.
every2 days 40% mood 100% recreation, they will take it only when mood below 40.

Well, I am not saying you should lock yourself into playing specific culture. Just that this scenario poses a pretty early game challenge so factions that have troubles in the beginning but might get stronger into late game would not fare well in this scenario. Still, I won with Primal who is in my opinion very weak early. So I think it is possible to win with any faction.

Yes, between my two cities I was pillaged by Golem and about 3 stacks of infestation units. Some had two phoenixes, some had 1 phoenix and one Forest God unit. I find stacks with 2 phoenixes harder. I had a lot of healing for units between turns in friendly territory. So I killed them one after another. First was the hardest, after that the heroes lvl up and it gets easier.

The skulls are really misleading. I am playing now the next scenario which is also 3 skulls. It is just a walk in the park. There is no challenge whatsoever. So skulls are just useless for checking difficulty.
