I mean its illogical to remove it in the first place all it serves to do is be a funny bit and get a couple achievements, I think it was a non harmful and funny thing that should be added back.

i lost all my progress in the update. like all my sims and homes and everything. it says on the main screen to start a new game and that is it.

Simple, the snacks generate a bit of extra income, and that's all it does, it's got nothing to do with customer patience. If you assign a chef to do snack as soon as possible (once you have all 3 chefs one of them will automatically do it when they come in for the day) they should be able to complete 6 portions (the maximum amount) before service starts. The extra income is fairly generous and can give you some extra leeway to use local stores which costs more but helps you maintain a high responsibility rating.

Odd bug, on my PC the game has a massive performance drop, down to 15~20 fps, when specifically ran in full screen mode. Altering the game to windowed fixes the issue regardless of window resolution, so running it in windowed at x5 so it matches full screen resolution runs perfectly even when all other display options are kept the same. When I originally purchased the game, this wasn't an issue so I'm not sure what changed to cause the problem, but I figured I would let you know.
