Too complicated. The current version is fine. It may spawn discussions of semantics like this one, but it doesn't cause rampant misunderstandings like Scout so there's no real problem.

Endless Legend 2 is, or perhaps was, one of my most anticipated games in the back half of the year, but this demo isn't selling it for me. Maybe because the turn count is too low and getting ganged up on by Necrophages while the Coral Dudes are printing victory points in some undiscovered corner of the map wasn't any fun for me, but maybe I'm just weird.

Audio/visual design is, as always from Amplitude, stellar. I do like the tidefall mechanic. I do like the battle overhaul. I even like all the flavor text and dialogue. I think I would rather play EL2 than EL1, ES2, Old World, or Civ.

But would I rather play it over AoW4? No. Not really. Not yet.

Come back and say that again when you've made two games solo, both of which were very successful and well-loved, both of which have highly polished combat systems.

AND you've solo built all of the assets for them both.

Please. I'd love to see you try. Either you're going to give up, or you're going to take eight years, or you're going to come back with a little more respect for how much effort goes into making a good game.

Does this game take place in the Dark Imperium? That's like the half of the galaxy cut off by the eye of terror in 40K lore.

If so how do they travel? Don't they have no 'emperor astronomicon' there and such?
