How to fix stutters? Using a RTX 5080 and dx12 and this game stutters a lot.

happened to me 3 times already in the last week or so. it will just stay in the loading screen. obviously if you notice that the loading screen might have frozen you will try to click something . while i understand that clicking anoything or moving your character removes that invulnerability, this getting stuck in the loading screen should not happen in the first place. EUW server as well.

Maybe u didnt overwrite the files try to put the patch in another folder not the games folder
Than copy and paste it in the games folder
It needs to overwrite it else it wont work ig

you can use riva tuner to set your fps limit in the meantime and use on other games

and here is small problem. If you are newbie you shoudnt start with advanced project like rpg in this case Gothic 1. This shoud never happen its like a newbie in blender that want to create vtuber avatar right after launcching program. Everyone starts from something and then iterates. Here is another mystery if you are a newbie then why pricing and calling yourself AAA? Oh god nothing makes me more annoyed than ♥♥♥♥ like this.

I partly agree on the issue. Too ambitious project for that studio AND management. However, it's not an AAA title. The triple A "standard" doesn't reflect quality (unfortunately), but has a focus on budget and therefore on the overall scale/length/size of the game itself. While THQN are quite big and owned by the Embracer Group (shares partially held by Black Rock, Vanguard, etc..), they are fully funding this one.

Here's a small breakdown:

It's not an indie game/studio, because it's fully published by THQN. For an "A" title it's too big. "AAA" for example would mean a +100 million budget, blockbuster push -> huge marketing campaign.
So the Gothic Remake is an "AA at best.

AA is huge! That‘s much much more than most studios will ever get. Alkimia are bigger than the creators of G1 used to be back in 2001. And these guys created the game from scratch, including the engine, with much less advanced tech.

a great older survival horror lovecraftian game. i will note that the steam version is buggy and crash heavy even with fixes, but the GOG version runs fine.

I played through it several years back on Steam. Thoroughly enjoyed it. I certainly remember having to make adjustments. I don't remember what all I did, but perhaps one of the main and most simple was adjusting processor affinity. But after whatever adjustments it ran fine and only crashed or had issues in a couple specific places.
