Was forced a new game update 1720MDT (GMT/UTC -6), then the game locked up at 1730.
The it reloaded & locked up displaying a note that, unless someone (Same person who calculates & sometimes grossly underrepresents the strength of or only presents ridiculously overpowered opponents in PvP) can't math, is an *absolutely massive* amount of downtime. "8/22/2025 2325UTC to 9/22/2025 0100UTC"
If this is true, there'd best be an equally massive set of rewards for active players.

The new expansion is a separate campaign and map, but the starting gear, and speed and shape of progression are much different so it should feel fresh!

I know this thread is ancient, but hopefully a dev sees this. I was just wondering whether the shaders from photo mode could be used in regular gameplay. That toon shader could damn near replicate the art style of the concept art

Well right now, biogenesis is the only DLC that's been released for the season. I feel like both Machine Age and Biogenesis have been very good, so I have no reason to doubt Shadows of the Shroud.

Infernals I don't really care about, but it does come with a new crisis path. Hard to pre-judge the value of that without knowing what it will entail.

With two different AP reworks in one season pack, I have a very hard time imagining season 9 not ending up being a very good value.

That said, if you don't already own 90% of the DLC, then I would agree with this:
