The Remake Exceeded My Expectations, But...
I thought the graphics is amazing, I'm not sure where it's lacking or what standards we're talking about. It's selge and selge away from the original sprite game. As far as animation, this game is on par with Ys X, a testament on how far Nihon Falcom have come since their first foray into full 3D with 1:1 body proportions. The games they released used to feel like a generation they're behind in that department, but no longer. I feel these games look and feel as good as, or even better than its contemporary JRPGs. Let's not bring up any of those Chinese gachas though.

As far as quartz and arts varieties, it's totally understandable that they feel lacking, if you're coming from the latest Trails games, let's say the Daybreak games. Those games were build upon the foundation upon foundation of its predecessors. This game is the remake of the ORIGINAL game in the series, the game that sets the entire foundation for later games. It's natural that we don't see crazy amount of high-spec stuff for lore purposes. Everything's back to the basics.

Junior Bracer ranks corresponds to the original game, there are 8 of them. I understand it feels little compared to the grading systems in Cold Steel and Daybreak, but you still get plenty of other rewards via the brand new in-game Rewards system that didn't exist in the original. This should be listed as a positive instead of negative.

As far as voice acting, this question gets asked a lot, how come these games have so little voice acting? I'm sure others have explained before, that Falcom is a small company and they have to budget their expense. They way they pick and choose which scenes are to be voices are only the essential ones, usually most of the prologue and introductory lines from each characters, to give players a feel of how every character sounds. The EVO games were fully voiced because they were outsourced to Chara-Ani and Kadokawa Games, they paid for the salaries of the voice actors and own the rights to those games.
