It's more about the game not being designed for a lot of the features people want.

If they have the people and resources available to add ships to the game in parallel to their other projects, then maybe. But I'd be willing to bet the return on investment is simply better with focusing on a new project within the IP.

But it's impossible to really know on this side of door, of course.

Ever since 2020, I have been unable to do a full run let alone complete a scenario on South Wales Coastal. No matter what scenario I run including the default DTG career scenarios, It just crashes at random times on the route! I own the original branded Bristol-Cardiff and it's extension to Swansea and the unbranded version and yes it's crashing on both versions. Seems like my problems started when DTG released the unbranded version and it has been completely unstable since! The only temporary fix that works is by resetting the game cache and then I can run the route just fine!

My inquiries is this: Because I own both branded and unbranded versions, Could it be that there is some kind of bad/corrupted assets within the blueprints somewhere? Because again resetting the cache seems to fix it temporarily. Is it because I own both versions and it's trying to find a file but just can't read it? Or could it also some kind of bad scripts locos or whatnot! I've noticed that the unbranded version has two assets folders SouthWales01 and SouthWales02 whereas the branded versions have their own folders BristolCardiff and BristolSwansea respectively. Have no idea why the unbranded versions needs two assets folder but that's beyond my knowledge! :D I would love to hear some feedback! SWC is one of my favorite routes it's a shame that I can't run it properly without getting that dreded OOM message! I'm curious to know if downgrading to a previous version of the game might help but I'm guessing it's more of a route problem rather then a core one! :D

Project Sextans is framed in-universe as a guiding training program put forth by the Desolate Legion; you, the player, are training by playing and being rewarded for it, but in-game the rewards are to encourage extra performance from the mercenaries/Valiants. Weapon XP is also a tangible improvement, since it allows you to immediately improve weapon levels without actually using them; that would be combat capabilities.

Yeah but weapon levels don't do anything. I mean, they unlock attachments but most don't actually do anything significant. Most are cosmetic more than functional, though not all are, and more often than not it'll just be "here's a sight you like the look of more, and also an insignificant downside that you'll never actually notice unless you run a ton of attachments that have the same downside"

What's the point of weapon levels when the attachments don't seem to make any real difference besides "this sight looks different", with the exception of Ammo Types which actually do seem to make sense.

The devs have rapidly cycled the attachments around the past few updates; they're trying to get things balanced and meaningful.
