A little research where exactly? They didn't mention it anywhere on their socials if I recall correctly. You shouldn't have to join a Discord server for that kind of information, frankly. That's not transparency.

I bought the Founder's pack in mid November, when their plans were to launch open beta (not 1.0 as in full release) in December fully knowing I might only get like couple weeks of playtime for it. But I wanted to play the game because it looked like so much fun and then their plans changed moving it forward a month couple of times so I got a bit more. Not everyone cares so deeply about spending like 1/10th of the cost of one bar night on a game that will give 100s of hours of fun instead of a headache in the morning. And it could have still moved forward when you bought it like before, but didn't. After that I've kept paying for the monthly pass and subscription purely because I want to support the game devs so they will keep on making the game better. So the life lesson learned here is to only spend money you can afford to lose easily on something you really want and admit you made a bad choice if it turns out to be something you didn't want.

Ok cool, if you don't care about that kind of stuff, that's nice for you, I guess. You are reading the situation completely wrong, though. I bought the founder's pack primarily BECAUSE I believed in the vision put forth, so it's less that I am unhappy with my purchase, it's that I was ultimately misled. They sold me an idea they are not commited to anymore. I can't imagine they just realized last week that they are running out of money fast and need to do something to keep the lights on, they made the concious decision to keep on quiet and wait until the last second to inform their players what was gonna happen and let people renew their subscriptions while believing the extra gems they earn would pay forward for future characters. It's basically the same as when they went into 1.0 and they dropped that future card packs would be money gated. There was no prior warning, and people basically just had to swallow it. Except there was such massive backlash that they walked it back nearly 180 degree after a month. And the way they decided to communicate and police all kinds of feedback that wasn't 100% positive has left me with zero confidence in them anymore, it was seriously eroded after the 1.0 release already.

Game's still fun. Arguable this is the most fun it has been in months, the patch rebalanced the game in a big way in many important ways and I had all but stopped playing it last patch because the meta felt so stale. But if I have zero confidence in the studio's business decisions, why would I further invest any money into it? Essentially I'm doing what you are suggesting. I learned my lesson. I made a bad choice investing into this game and won't make the mistake of investing into it further.

The funny thing is, if the 20 bucks Stelle deal had come first, I might have might have bought it just to have the game in the same place where all my other games are. But that has passed now, I guess the next time I'll think about spending any money on this game will be if/when the mobile version comes out.

Scout was always a Heavy killers, he just run and jump everywhere while doing dots and shooting in your face. Killing Lights is super simple and more if they don't know how to move.

I've been playing Colony Mode on the beta branch, and it's pretty fun so far!
Issues I've encountered:

-Encountering a big patch of tar slimes causes my computer to chug; it takes something like 5 minutes to finish rendering them, and then does it again if I take my eyes off of them long enough to unload them and have to reload them.
-Gobbos sometimes get stuck on/in buildings, requiring you to destroy them to get them free.
-When my Lightbringer evolved, some text labels (such as party names) refer to her as 'LightbringerEvolved' rather than her name.
-One of my Mooladins found an infinite money glitch by getting trapped in a dungeon without completing her exploration-- I (accidentally) managed to free her by assigning her to an expedition and then cancelling it when she didn't show up, at which point she walked out and dumped three quarters of a million gold (750,000) in my lap.

Possibly a me issue: How do you siege prison towers? The one I've found to far shoots lighting at anyone who gets close, causing them to automatically run away.
