Well, We’ve been focusing on delivering new content while also fixing bugs along the way. Naturally, fresh content sometimes brings new issues, but our top priority is to polish the game and make it as smooth as possible. Once we’ve stabilized everything, we’re excited to look into modding tools — something we know would be amazing for the community. Since that’s a more complex process (and very tricky one), we wanted to give you new content to enjoy first.

Yeah that's a common issue with DC; it gets to a point where the enemy just has way too much of a headstart for a player to reasonably deal with. Even if you rush down 1 base with honor guard, the 2nd will half an army right at your doorstep before you can crank out enough units/defenses to counter them.

It's not as bad in soulstorm as, while the AI is still aggressive, it gives you a bit more leeway, having pauses between the attack waves it sends. This does, however, mean each attack wave is a big deathball as opposed to the never-ending river of enemies in DC. Fortunately for IG, deathballs are counter by good old high explosive artillery, which you have plenty of.

IMO, the stronghold mission for facing space marines is easier than the regular battles since it's a bit more scripted(by contrast, facing necrons in regular battles is generally easy as IG, but their stronghold battle often feels unwinnable right at the start.)

In short, yes the DC AI is totally borked: simultaneously braindead and ridiculously overpowered. Sometimes it'll be a total joke to beat, other times it'll make you ragequit the game and not return for a week.

that seems to be the go to strategy, i was struggling against necrons and their HQ battle was much easier, which virtually removed their advantage when taking their left over territories. Thank you for spelling it out for me.

I pop back and forth to this game not many people use mics or team coordination these days unless you find a milsim group
