I just had this on both black ops 3 and black ops 6. Replying to s friend using steam overlay straight up hard crashed my pc. Isnt a cheap pc either having to hard reboot it annoys me.

Is there an actual fix/tenp fix anyone has that stops it happening? Please help

It's written in the OP and the solution has been posted at least 20 times in the thread.

Go to Steam, settings, interface, and disable hardware accel.

like mongolteiko said, ANY amount of silencing criticism is bad, no matter the scale or stakes. you should not give smaller scale bad practices a pass because big dogs do it too.

I agree it shouldnt happen. Just pointing out that others do it also.

For Nvidia GPU users: Latest drive (released on August 19) made the game run smooth as F for my friend with a 3060 and for my friend with a 4090. Before the update, both had minor stutters, little freezes and lag while loading the maps for the first time. After the update it all went away and the game is super smooth. (For me too)

Maybe something like the altered carbon mod, I think you can have a generic template and copy it to other sleeves but that gets expensive if you want to copy paste the exact same clone

What did "the new devs" do ? Didn't know the forums now attack devs insteas of Krafton with mostly speculation on the few public infos

Hey, glad you’re enjoying Operators so far! Really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts.

On the recoil side, that’s actually intentional — the carbine starts out rough because the whole design is built around attachments and progression. The idea is you begin with something that doesn’t feel ideal, then as you add attachments it becomes more controllable and tuned to your playstyle. That way there’s a real reason to push through weapon progression rather than everything feeling perfect right out of the gate.

As for Operators themselves, more content is definitely planned down the road — new visuals, weapons, and yeah, more masked designs too. But right now Operators are on the backburner while we push hard to finish Phase 1 and roll into Phase 2. The main focus is Pandemic mode and getting Operators fully integrated into it, with all the systems working properly. Once we’ve got that solid, we’ll have more room to circle back to some of the things you mentioned.

We’re aiming to have Phase 1 wrapped in the next 24 hours if everything goes to plan, then it’s full steam ahead on Phase 2. Thanks again for testing and for the feedback — it helps a ton as we keep refining.
