We can talk about XIII compilation and XV, but there's no way this is better than XII. XII had its cons but it was a huge game with an insane level of detail and one of the best explorable world in the series if not in the genre. XVI has something good watered in a very empty game with some references to past chapters for the fans, all stuffed in the TERRIBLE idea of an off-line FFXIV. It could have been really a good game if the XIV team didn't want to recicle their past work (which wasn't always top tier for a mmo neither)...

Yea if this is happening all the time for you you need to troubleshoot your pc and home network, and possibly consult your ISP

The fact that community takes so long to load too indicates some issue with routing to the nearest steam datacentre.

Are you using a VPN? If so turn it off. Same with any 3rd party AV or even a browser extension VPN.

You should recruit a friend, and test this out:

switch your Steam networking option to NOT use steam networking (Steam - settings - in game -steam networking). Per this article you would set it to "always"

Have your friend set the same on their client to ensure you are skipping Steam's nodes and directly connecting. This reveals your IP address of course so that is why I say test this with a friend.

Run a duo match and see how your lag is.

My problem with the fans are their reactivity. They don't need to react to threads like this. They don't need to fight people over their opinion. They just need to ignore obvious threads like this. Before responding to a negative post, how about instead you write an interesting thread yourself about the game. Until then this will never stop.

I am having several errors while playing (and sometimes it won't even load) but so far the game seems pretty good. My main concern is that this a version 1.0 and not higher. In my experience if a game is 1.0, that means it is stable enough to release, but too early to find any bugs/exploits. I think it would be a great idea to patch/update the game and the ideas mentioned earlier were all great. Depending on the cost, I would probably buy any DLC as well (assuming I got all my game technical problems fixed).
