I don't know if any of this is helpful or is "working as intend", still at least that's my 1.0-playtest report.

Annoying/Issue (or just works as intended - dunno)
  • the most annoying thing is the arrow/tracking attacking party when someone raiders attack the town because it's helpful only for a moment, so that you know where they come from but, I had a lot of situations where I forced the raiders to retreat, then i had the alert "Under attack" still there for 5 minute, just to realist that some random 1-5 enemies were still destroying things around, and the arrow was still just pointing out where the attack comes from. The "Zoom" button on attack notification is not working in such case.
  • "Mark building for Immediate repair" was disabled for me all the time on all the buildings, even with 30+ builders,
  • The workers are often retarded, they will do everything they can just NOT to build the prioritized buildings (even if there is nothing else todo for them), or for some reason if You'll build 3 layers of walls (with gate on each wall) they won't continue building the walls in inner layer, even tho you can move them manually to the in-between area and they will just happily move there,

Tech tree
  • well I don't know, i don't fully feel like it's the best way to present all the techs, maybe having some "tabs" split into "war","farming","culture", etc. would be better? Hard to say because i just got used to it kinda, but still feels like it could be better, even tho i do understand this point if some techs from "culture" are needed in "war" etc.
  • some techs are very hard to understand, example: "Commerce Negotiations", it unlocks some policy and i was wondering if it gives me extra money or what? It's probably on some building I guess? Dunno, might be better to add one-liner info like "Required for: XYZ" etc.
  • good thing imo, is that tech are making the game more challenging, because some buildings/strategies are now locked behind techs which i do like tbf.

Nice to have
  • a way to just destroy excavation site in case you pick up default settings,

Funny/Other/Unrelated
  • city decimated by rats seems not to be a problem for merchants and immigrants ("Daddy look, a fluffy!" I guess)
  • desirability 60-70% despite ~200 corpses around the town and pack of rats, I know that these don't affect desirability, just funny "I always wanted to live in SILENT area",
  • high happiness without food for months - i guess it's easier to dance on empty stomach,

How are you guys using these things, LOD for example is 0.5 what does 0.5 represent for example on settings options.
The description for our LOD bias setting is: Global multiplier for the LOD's switching distance. A larger value leads to a longer view distance before a lower resolution LOD is picked.

0.5 just means objects will all render with lower LODs than 1. They will not turn invisible unless they are far enough away.

Regarding with Interior you can set it up to being very close as touching the base to be loading things and not be 100m away and load the entire interior.
What if you're scoped in on someone through a window in their base? You would be far away but need to see inside the base.


If it was that simple everyone would be making their own games, you guys are a big team it’s possible to not make the interior render from distance and just have the window who ever is close.

The thing is the detail in interior doesn’t have to be there if you are not in the base.

Those honeycombs are still rendering they shouldn’t be rendering, whatever walls covered inside should be invisible there is no reason to not be, it’s covered, the issue is the more you place it’s more laggy because the meshes are not empty.

The whole base has no reason to be rendered and only on your side of view and the inside of walls that are not seen should not be there at all, thus getting low frames because of rendering walls that you don’t even have yo see
