Probably because some get paired with people who don't speak english or flatout "refuse" to do so out of spite so no one talks

Other times it's because people don't want to talk with people who get easily angry just because:

"You didn't bring the correct loadout!"
"You didn't do the objective fast enough!"
"You failed putting in the codes too many times!"
"You killed me!"

Other times it's just them saying slurs or blasting brainrot music at high volumes because "I want people to listen to my cringe music with mega bass and full low quality crust.
