This.

Griefing will just increase tenfold, simple.

Force players to waste 30+ minutes of their time in miserable impossible to win matches, they'll just grief a million times harder so you are also just as miserable.

Now you're going to have tens if not hundreds of thousands of players getting angry about people clearly griefing and throwing matches in retaliation.

And there's nothing you can do about it because they're just playing badly like those they're forced to stay in a match with after all ;)

These 'devs' are so smart.

As mentioned, those people will then be setting themselves up for easy reports and bans.

Sure, game is free and you can just hop on another account, but I imagine at some point, that'd get frustrating enough not to bother, at least at a consumer / non-streamer level.

People are free to grief, they'll be reported for it, plain and simple.

And those reports will go ignored, no matter how mad you are, you being emotional doesn't mean people are going to be banned.

They're just playing badly like other bad players in QP so those reports are invalid ;).

"Throwing" or griefing reports don't hold anywhere near as much weight as abusive chat or cheating reports. Bad players claim other bad players are "throwing" all the time, no one takes those reports seriously.

By your flawed logic, every single player that anyone deems to be "griefing" for playing badly would be banned in QP, this would be easily abused if devs took those kinds of reports seriously. There would be little to no players even left in quickplay so this weak argument is nonsense and irrelevant. That's not how the reporting system works, no matter how emotional you want to get about it thinking things work the way you want them to because you're unhappy about it.

Just because you say someone should or will be banned for playing poorly (even if it's griefing) doesn't mean that's a legitimate report, no matter how much you think it's throwing or an "easy report", this is nothing but cope, that's not how things work, the world doesn't revolve around you and what you want to happen to people.

So any reports for what you claim to be griefing are invalid. And even if a few get caught being too obvious about it guess what? They'll simply learn from their mistakes and be far less obvious and still grief, making it impossible to tell the difference between a griefer and just another bad player in QP which they know there are many, your reports will go ignored, playing badly isn't reportable, even if they're actually griefing in retaliation for being forced to stay in the match ;)

See how easy it is to blur the lines between griefing and playing poorly?

What you imagine is not reality. People are addicted to this game more than the overwhelming majority of other multiplayer games out so the small number that do get caught griefing will simply create a new account and make it far more difficult to tell they're griefing the next time like I said and blend in with other players playing poorly in QP, all it takes is watching them for a little bit to emulate and replicate their behavior, it's that easy for people to grief without getting caught.

And for that small number that do get caught griefing for making it too obvious, if any, it definitely won't be a ban. it's extremely difficult to get banned for that, they might get a suspension for less than a day or few days at the most and they'll simply make it less obvious the next time so they don't get suspended again.

Fact of the matter is it's actually extremely difficult to get anyone banned for playing poorly, they're playing the same way as those who complain about QP leavers that are bad at the game, both are simply bad players as far as the devs are concerned.

So like I said, force people to stay in miserable 30+ minute matches, the griefing will simply get a million times worse in the game in retaliation.

Serious players aren't going to get sweaty for a team that doesn't even care about winning in the first place, feeding nonstop, no matter how much you feel you're entitled to that, that's not how it works. They will simply grief you and throw and make it near impossible to tell they're doing it.
